Lets Boogie

We got Marathon 2, but what about Pathways Into Darkness? Couldn't that be made into some game that can be downloaded off xbox live? Pathways is an important game, since it was predecessor to marathon. At least for marathon, we can play it on Aleph One, which we can't for PiD. Therefore marathon fans like myself who don't own an old mac, can't play the game.

What do you think?

Best. Ship. Ever!

It would be nice but few people know about it and it's highly doubtful that it would make any profit on XBLA.

Still I would like to see it, if not on XBLA then maybe on the iPad like Marathon.

I think Potomo is probably correct. While I would love to see PiD on XBL (in a perfect world), it likely never will be. The game is so old that porting it would prove rather difficult if not downright impossible without major overhauls. Even then, the game possesses such a slow pace and high degree of difficulty that few of the present generation of gamers (those who drive most sales over XBL) would purchase the game, or if so, recommend it to others.

Still, with PiD as freeware nowadays, you need to only install a Classic Mas OS emulator like Basilisk II or Sheepshaver to play the game. It may take a bit of work to get it set up, but the experiecne is worth it overall.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

You don't just put any game unto the Xbox Live Marketplace. That's not how it works, well maybe with Kinect games but the kinks haven't been fully fleshed out yet.
