Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

First, have you upgraded your video card?
It's pointless to upgrade anything until you upgrade your video card if you want to play games.
Chaos Theory requires a video card, not integrated graphics like your PC comes with.

You won't be able to play Chaos Theory with a PCI Video Card; you need a new computer.

a pci card shoudl be fine, you jsut need to get a good one. but most anything can beat a pci card in speed. all I can say is don't buy a cheap computer, you get what you payed for, since the computer was cheap, you get cheap parts. you don't have to buy a "new computer" but you would have to buy a new mobo to support anything better than a POS *piece of sushi*. It looks like a micro-atx from the images I have.

Heres your best bet:
Motherboard; ASUS P4P800-VM Socket 478 Intel 865G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard: $82.99
Ram; CORSAIR ValueSelect 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory $36.75
Video Card; eVGA 128-A8-N350 Geforce 6600GT 128MB 128-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail: $139.00

Thats what I suggest, but Im not 100% sure about what kind of CPU you have, Nor do I know what kind of power supply you have in the dell. For a little more than $250 you can get a much better comp what you currently have, but I still fear you have a Celeron *shudders*. Ah well, some times its better to jsut buy a new computer though.

EDIT: oh ya, for a dvd burner and a sound card run over to http://www.newegg.com. Look for a Sound Blaster sound card, and any DVD burner you would like. You can also Ignore my previous shpeal if you want, but I bet you have already read it =þ

Hello Guys, sorry it took so long to reply, i was in school. anyway, i have a standard dell 2400 with a GeForce FX 5500 PCI card, Bought 1 Gig of RAM, and just upgraded to a 2.93 Ghz Intel processor that im trying to overclock to about 3.5 Ghz(later would like a walkthrough on that later). And when i said play chaos theory i meant a DVD drive that will read it. I can play alot of games including call of duty 1, CS:S, Half-life 2, and any source game no lag.

Ok, good. A 5500 is the best PCI card you can get.
Here is the DVD burner that I have. It read and writes DVDs and CDs.
It should work for any game you have.
