I may have bored you on the subject matter, but my case in point still remains. Oh well...
The halo universe is ever expanding and so is its fan base. Do you think events like HaloFest could grow into something bigger than what it's all ready is becoming? We are ready celebrating 10 years of Halofandom at this event, but I believe as this becomes more of a ritual that many people will soon grow familiar with; this thing can grow into something like QuakeCon! Especially with Bungie's new game rumored to deliver a title that reaches out to not only FPS players, but Online RPG players as well.
Think about it! Not just contest and tournaments, but convention halls, exhibits, first look at secret projects, panels, experiences and interaction with other fans, outdoor recreational activities like a giant replica of a popular Halo multiplayer map that you can play paintball or laze tag games on. Participant gratitude prizes like Bungie Swag that you would swap your left nut for (don't ask why not my right one).
I live in Texas, but if this thing grows over the coming years,
I'm sure a long trip up North, um... North West, would be more than a rewarding one.
