Subject: What happened to Noble team??!?!?!? and the myseries of Reach?

Emile's cool, but he fails.
Carter's awesome, but why not just shoot the scarab?
Kat gets killed by one little needle rifle shot.
Jorge almost pointlessly commits suicide.
Jun gets sniped.
6 gets owned by loads of elites.
MASTER CHIEF IS AWESOME!

If there are only 6 Spartans left on Reach to defend the planet, how about:

In Lone Wolf you see loads of dead Spartans on the floor. What happened to them?

Masterchief - he is in the Pillar of Autumn

The 2nd myserty is that out of the six Spartans in Noble team you only actually physically SEE Kat and 6 die, although it's hard to believe Carter could have survived. It's possible that Emile could have gone into a coma or something instead of dying but 6 thinks he's dead. Jorge could maybe have made it out of the Covenant cruiser before the bomb went off. And does anyone know what happened to Jun?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Urgh, I thought we were past this bollocks...

1) Carter was already mortally wounded and crashed his Pelican into the Scarab.

2) Emile was STABBED THROUGH THE HEART BY AN ENERGY SWORD. The fact he didn't immediately die is ridiculous, and the fact you're claiming he could have "gone into a coma" is laughable.

3) Jorge accepted he was going to die. He didn't have a re-entry pack on, he didn't have his helmet on either.

4) Jun's fate is unknown and Frankie said we will probably never see him again, thus it's a logical assumption he died because he wasn't with Halsey when Red Team met up with her at CASTLE Base.

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

Only when no Human brick is left atop another, shall we be satisfied with your destruction.

The Covenant overran their rally point and killed them.

He died in the crash, was dying from his wounds before the crash anyway, so even if he hadn't given a Scarab the old Glasgow kiss he would likely have died.

It's possible that Emile could have gone into a coma or something instead of dying but 6 thinks he's dead.

He had a plasma sword shoved through his chest, his heart and lungs are ash, he is very very dead.

Jorge could maybe have made it out of the Covenant cruiser before the bomb went off.

Nope, he had to press the go button manually, he set off the 'bomb' by hand as the timer was broken.

And does anyone know what happened to Jun?

He escorted Dr Halsey to CASTLE base in Menachite mountain, but wasn't among the surviving personel retrieved from there later, it is assumed he died defending CASTLE from the Covenant.

technically we saw carter and kat and jorge and emile all die, there is no possible way any of them survived their deaths.

Carter - i would love to see you survive a flaming ball of destruction when you crash a pelican into a scarab.

Kat - head shot

Jorge - the slip space bomb "detonated" immediatly after it was activated so no time to leave.

emile - an energy sword through your heart and abdomen would kill you for sure. he is lucky he survived long enough to stab the elite.

jun - no mention of him when chief rescues halsey he most likely died when transporting her.

Six - never officially saw him stabbed, but he didnt have much of a chance to survive going against 7 or more elites (all of which had energy daggers if they wanted)at the same time one of which was a general.

Jorge, Six and Jun are questionable.

Six is dead.

Marcus Lehto, creative director: Well, the game's a tragedy overall. We wanted to tell the story of the Spartans sacrificing everything they had, and we thought it would be a cop-out if we didn't really bring it to a true ending with the Spartan that you create and that you fight with through the entire campaign and all the way to the very bitter end. If we didn't actually do the right thing to that character and bring them down with the planet... After they had already succeeded in making sure that one thing that gave humanity any hope was actually saved, (we decided) they were going to go out all gung-ho and guns blazing. It was a crazy, controversial thing within our studio. We had a lot of people who were like, "No, we shouldn't end it that way. We should allow the player to play on and, in their heads, keep living." But we wanted to bring it to a close.

And there wasn't really anything we could do with the end, the demise, of Noble 6 because that leads into the events just prior to Halo 1. It was a great way just to bring everything full circle for the franchise.

Jorge is dead. His purpose in the story is finished, he died accepting his fate and even willing in order to repay Reach for "being good" to him. Again, Marcus Lehto says the story of Reach is about Spartans sacrificing themselves, having Jorge survive senselessly would demean the entire point of Noble Team.

Plus, Jorge was at the epicenter of a slipspace rupture gone wrong. Being near an operational one is dangerous enough.

Frankie said they are not intending to ever use Jun, as a result the fact he wasn't with Halsey when Red Team got to her at CASTLE leads me to conclude he died.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

*shrug*

I follow the novel The Fall of Reach as canon, not Halo: Reach.

Oh and Master Chief dies. We play as his hologram in Halo CE, 2, and 3.

Carter- could have jumped out of the back of the pelican, wouldn't survive the fall but he definately died in the explosion no matter what we want to think.

Kat- headshot confirmed dead by noble.

Emile- his stab wound definatly killed him and if he did go into a coma he was still glassed because 6 didn't move the body. The only reason he was alive enough to kill the elite was because of SPARTAN III augmentations.

Jun- may have survived but wasn't rescued. if i remember correctly i heard second hand that some part of the canon stated he was killed in escort.

Jorge- the slipspace bomb ripped apart everything and then teleported it to an unknown location. since slipspace jumps don't normally land in atmosphere and jorge had his helmet off it is unlikely he would be able to breathe even if he was teleported in one piece. no matter what he has no way of returning to unsc space if all of these unlikely events happened. So he is confirmed dead.

6- confimed by halsey dead if he managed to fight off those elites he died later on the same planet.
