I'm a college dropout.

I only quote ninjas when they own other people. Then I say "LAWL PWND!"

I send them a message telling them how good they got me. Then they're all like "This dude is a really good sport! I need to send him a friend request."

Honestly, who cares what other people think? If you want to quote an employee, quote an employee.

:-)

You speak the freedom of speech. =)

PC and Console Gamer. Browncoat.

From my experience, Duardo is a pretty cool guy.

And so is Achronos.

People treat them like gods when they're just other people.

If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

I never have to worry about any of that quoting nonsense. Employees and ninjas quote me like it's their job. It's kind of annoying really.

Quoting someone's post is like saying "Hey dude, a private note to this user." Or just saying as a references, "Now this is the answer to all of your problem".

Whoo.

*Sigh*

Seeing how derailed this thread became from just one employee/ninja post makes me wonder whether ninjas/employees should post at all, it would be a shame because it's usually something witty or something that contributes rather well to the thread ... but then again considering how commonly one post derails the thread entirely/fills it to the brim with spam it's usually not worth it.

Employee's and ninjas are mostly human too remember people

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It's annoying to see everyone kiss up by quoting moderators/employees when they make a joke or whatever. Users quote them and reply with "lol, rofl, lawl, pwn, you're hilarious!" and what-not.

Anyways, as long as you aren't quoting just to quote, and you actually have something to say, it's perfectly fine.

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

I've found these days I only ever [try to] quote Ninjas or Employees if I either have some sort of problem/query with something they've said or if they've quoted me first.

That criteria makes me feel better about quoting them, but if I happen to quote them to make fun of them or to appreciate their joke, chances are that I genuinely appreciate their joke and not just who they are.

The implication was that they were human and slightly inhuman (sp). Apart from maybe lack of a comma. But now the marginal humour has been ruined.

Oh no, I understood that, I was mainly fixing the lack of a comma.

I had to read that about six times, just trying to figure out what the hell you was trying to say, until I realised there was supposed to be a comma there. I just fixed the rest of it up a little because just adding a comma feels like far too little a change to warrant another post, of course it does make a large difference but that's besides the point.

I think it should be bannable when somone says after a bungie member posts "This thread is now about quoting *bungie members name here*"

Its annoying.

The problem is that frequently that's all that happens, brown nosing. Nothing gets added to the Employee's post, just a "yeah owned by Bungie" etc.

What if they quote me quoting you who quoted him?

Lol i try not to but quote them but sometimes its okay to troll around a bit just don't go overboard lol

I just do what feels right to me in each situation. If I was that worried about what everyone thought of me, and worked to changed me, I wouldn't be me and that wouldn't be very fun. Also, I'd have to feel like I was 'sucking up' to anyone that I quoted... and that would just stop this whole community conversation thing we got going here.

Yeah I'm the same, I avoid quoting because most people will probably be like "pfft, how predictable".
I know people have said 'who cares? post what you want, dont worry what people think' but lets remember we're on a forum, we go out our way to post to see what people think/ have to say about it.

Now I'm starting to feel guilty about this.

That's for all you quote haters.
