This is not a Fugazi signature.

I will- here's what you have to do: Download and install Halo CE and the HEK.

Download and install gmax.

Download and install chimp.

Read the HEK tutorial.

Export your map.

Debug and compile your map.

Playtest your map with others.

Release your map to the public.

Have one or two fun weeks of playing it at the most.

Your map is forgotten by everyone but you. ;)

Just kidding- but this is the basic flow... come by forums.yayap.com for more in-depth help. :)

i already have gmax, so that is not aproblem

but the problem is that i have been using Gmax, and all the tutorials are directed at 3dsmax, and even though they are similar enough to attempt to follow, there are several... diferences in certain aspects of the pogram (for exmple, i cannot seem to select the "Ground" face of the cube that is the level.) does anyone have a gmax tutorial?

Yeah Gmax is probobly still available for download somewhere anyway. Also, you could always try looking at tutorials for other games, try C&C Renegade, I attempted modding that, it went, ummmmmm, ok .......i guess........kinda. But the tutorials were at least helpful.

the game i modded the most i modded was written in a line programming language that i do not recognise, but i am now fluent in it. i could open and modify it with noepad. i did not need software for it i cannot access muh of that game, because i do not have the programs, but i can change a lot.
