Hi guys I started using firefox and what is this and how do I get rid of it? I feel like there should be pictures or something there that firefox is afraid to display

Key

Seems to be a lot of problems with browsers not trusting BNet functions/pages recently. Hopefully Achronos sees some of these. Don't know what to tell you though, dude. :(

Hard is good.

Same thing used to happen to me back when I had firefox.

Back then though it just came up with a simple message rather than an alert

I knew you still used this account. You just told me you don't but I knew you do. I KNEW IT.

I am getting this warning on Firefox 7 Alpha a.k.a. Aurora.

Seems like it's just Firefox.

I am having this problem too. I recently reinstalled Firefox 7 and now I can't even see the purchase render minute page.

Have you done a clean install recently? I upgraded from 6 to 7 and was have issues with page load times. So I did a clean install (removed all personal data) and reinstalled FF. This is what the purchase render minutes page looks like. I can fix if by removing the "s" in https, but I don't know if that is recommended.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

Yeah the problem is the login page links this bg image and this bg image from a secure connection. (dunno why they'd do that) so Firefox gets all scared and says it's untrusted. I would click the "add exception" button and see if you can make Firefox accept https://bungie.net as a secure connection. (I've only been able to get that problem with the Macs (OS X) at my school that also use Firefox, so OS or ISP might have a role, idk)

That's not OS specific, it's at least Firefox specific because I do get those warnings when I sign in on Bungie.net. I'm running Windows.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I use Safari 2.0. I'll try logging on on Firefox.

Edit: Worked fine for me. I have no idea what is going on. I suggest contacting Achronos.

What I find ironic is when it tells me a link I try to open is untrusted and it's a link on a US government site.

Just ignore those if you are sure of what you want to do. I have yet to run into any snags when bypassing such protective measures.

It's not a bug, it doesn't need fixing and honestly if your browser doesn't tell you every time you're in this situation, you should get a better browser.

The warning is thrown up when data is passed from a secure connection (https) to an unsecure connection (http), which can be a bad thing, but isn't necessarily a problem. In this case it's probably a consequence of the way b.net uses Live to handle logins, and if that is the case, it isn't a problem except for the extra click every time you log in.

Firefox is just being honest with you. It's asking you to call the shots. There's ways to loosen security options so it doesn't pop up as often like people have mentioned earlier. Do you trust live.com login? (you also need it to post on this forum) If you don't trust the gateway probably a good idea to find the truth in the details if available.

Apparently Firefox doesn't trust the connection...Maybe you should have a friend's night out and introduce Firefox to Connection so Firefox can learn to trust Connection. Maybe have some trust falls and what not for Connection and Firefox to participate in. Firefox should learn to trust more Connections though, it seems to be untrustworthy of various connections. Firefox needs some counciling as well on its trust issues.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I think it's just because of some sort of third parties, but don't worry BNET is safe.

Yup. It's just telling you that it's going from a trusted source to an "untrusted" source.
