I hate to burst your bubble, but usually the Ninja's decisions are very final.

It is your opinion that your thread wasn't spam, it is the Ninja's opinion that it was spam.

In this scenario, the Ninja's opinion out-ranks your opinion.

You can try to appeal the decision with a Master Forum Ninja, but I don't think that this particular scenario will improve for you.

Neither warnings nor bans can be removed from your history once they are on there, mistake or not.

  • 08.19.2011 5:24 PM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Ignoring the "the mods are right because they are mods" reply here, I'll be straight with you. Though you did post that thread in The Flood, it's not exactly the type of thread for this site. It's pretty much akin to a spam post. Granted you may have just been curious, but things went bad fast for your thread. It just became spam bait.

As for the definitions of spam you quoted, you missed this:

Keep in mind that this list is not complete and the Bungie.net Moderators have the authority to determine whether a post violates the "no spam" rule or not.

And as mentioned, all warnings and bans are final and even if appealed successfully the mark unfortunately remains.

Along with my previous post, this also applies. Since you have been warned, it is going to be there for a looooong time.

Oh knock it off. You make it sound like a warning is a terrible thing, with a good record it's practically nothing.

Unfortunately yes, that's the case. The mods need some wiggle room.

As for a mod just locking stuff they don't like, or if they're drunk. Yeah, it'll happen. But if you can prove that you can appeal your warning or ban. Just unfortunately as it is now, the mark will still be there on your history.

So it leaves it up to interpretation? What if the moderator in question is drunk? What if his interpretation of spam is "any thread he doesn't like?" Should we be punished for that?

Could be a long-shot, but I'd harbour a guess at:

- Threads that only require a one-liner reply such as a number or rank.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Looks like you bumped it back up on the second page. That's my interpretation of why the thread was locked and you were warned.

I'm not usually on the Flood, and it could have been a slow day, but usually after 23 minutes, your thread usually isn't on the first pages.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Welcome to my world...

Knock it off?

I'm replying in the context of the thread. I was directly replying to questions/queries that he posted in his OP.

I am not making it sound like a horrible thing, I've been warned myself and view it as a lesson learned. If it sounds horrible, that isn't my intent, but it will be there for a long time, and he asked if it could be removed.

Nothing I have said is any worse or better than anyone else has posted.

As for my first post that you seem to think it necessary to "ignore", it fits in line with your post about the list of spam not being complete and the Mods make the final decision as to whether or not something is spam.

You have said all of the same things I have, simply worded differently.

So you knock it off. Who are you to tell me what to post or what not to post?

Get tossed, bro.

This is completely relevant to the OP, and all I have to say on the matter...

Neither is used to mean none of two or more. Although some suggest that using the word neither with more than two items is incorrect, it has been commonly used to refer to more than two subjects since the 17th century. The more modern usage does prefer none with more than two things.

I understand the warning, just wrong punishment description.

Considering the age of the account and likelihood of alt-ishness... I don't think that the trust rating of one new account is really that much of a concern to you.

Unless you put a ton of thought into the name and want it to stand the test of time?

Well to me, it was more of a Blog post than spam.

He had discussional value perhaps but only about him and his activities.

I wouldn't say it was a "Blog post", really.

I'd say that he was talking to the completely wrong audience is what it was.

Spam is sort've like, 'anything stupid goes into this category'.
