3.) Since OP said its US vs Covenant so a few hundred ships will entirely glass the country of USA in matter of hours and cause mass devastation to ecosystem, etc. In few years ahead, the world will become lifeless and rock barren for many years ahead.

OP should have made it a terrestial battle. At least then we could die swinging. But still die.

Raganok99 says And, no matter where you are at, grammar and spelling is absolutely essential, period.

*No matter where you are. You put a preposition at the end, which is grammatically incorrect. Now stop trying to bully- you don't seem exceptionally brilliant yourself.

RE: Humanity vs. Covenant, all I have to say is that we seem to have put up a decent fight in the 2500s (where our technology seems to have miraculously NOT advanced at all.)

For some odd reason, this is the first thing that came to my mind when you said that. I love that story arc.

Ending a sentence with a preposition is one of the least followed grammatical rulesin the English language. While I try and follow it as much as I can, it is very easy to slip and make that mistake.

Technology is advancing at an ever accelerating rate, when Bungie first made Halo they had no idea how fast we would progress in the few years in-between each game. I think a little slack would be okay, in regards to technological advancement.

I was talking about the technology in the Halo universe itself. 500 years into the future, and we still have tanks, helicopters, and automatic weapons at the same technological scale as we do today.

500 years into the future, and they're still using 8 gauge, pump action shotguns?

Like I said, a little slack for Bungie. They weren't military experts and couldn't predict how far we would advance.
The UNSC also had some large periods of relative peace, during which weapons development took a back seat for colonization. Further development was also unneeded as body armor did not advance a great deal in that time.

Everybody makes mistakes. That is fine. However, some people butchering the English language or improperly using grammar/spelling continuously like this OP is not acceptable.

I agree... why has humanity not advanced at all, besides faster than light travel and large space cruisers? In fact, some weapons today are BETTER than the UNSC's weapons. Just look at the AR, and compare it to many modern Assault Rifles.

They did advanced...
Now i will ask you this,in what area did you expected them to advance ALOT.
What's the point of having laser weapons if projectile weapon can work too.If you think a civilisation can constantly advance in tech then you are wrong as hell.Ever heard that a civilisation can experience a crisis or stagnation in advancement?
In the case of the UNSC they wisely chose for using most of their budget for colonisation instead of weapon advancements.
The UNSC had a massive problem:overpopulation.

They were stuck in the solar system with huge populations and couldn't sustain all of them with food . That's why they wanted to expand their territory in space. Their FTL drive is the most expensive piece of tech ever built by them. It's retarded if you focus on finding better ways at killing eachother then looking at ways to safe our species.

Cause look at the UNSC,they aren't retards like governments these days (looks at USA) who use most of their budget for weapons and get into huge problems. Civilisations can't stay in their golden era forever.

Kids these days always expect lasers and flying cars in the future but they don't think realistic. Bungie portrayed the UNSC as realistic as possible and not like the Humans in mass effects who start to fly with cars.

BTW you know nothing about the UNSC assault rifles if you think it's below modern day AR's. UNSC AR's are far more durable and have more functions. Sure a range of 300 meters of less then the 500 meters of an AK-47 but why the -blam!- does an AR needs a range like that if a Battle rifle suits that job.

Do some research before saying something like that in the future.

covenant are immune to radiation and and the nuke would be shot down also covenant have energy shields so against elites it would be 1 elite for 10 soldiers and when they decide glass the world would end Also it takes about 2 days to charge (or two hours i'm not sure) for a full powered glass which can glass half a planet

jep i knew that you were an -blam!-, you don't know what to say, because of that you talk only about grammar...
Want to say something good? Say something about the post not it's grammar.

RE:Wed lose in 3days... because the covies would need to bring more ships to us(humanity)... im pretty shure that we could take atleast 1 phantom down... maybee ewen a corwete but not a -blam!- cruiser!
ANd they hawe no reason to send troops down to earth because we don't hawe any forerunner artifacts...
So yeah, they would just glass/nuke us from the orbit...

Well we could take down a cruiser... when it preperes to glass, its shields turn off... then we could do the same thing that noble 6 did at the end of the game... but only we need to some of theese make a scuocide run to deliver nukes...

dude, ofcurse the plane would be guarded by other aicraft, and our aircraft cannons and misles can easly make a banshee look like cheese and phantom disapear... and what about spirits?
They arent a big problem...

Only problem is the heat and radiation at the center of firind device of corvete or cruiser...

This sig will Self-Destruct in 3.... 2.... 1.... Thank you for your time. Cookie?

OP.

This is a -blam!- retarded discussion.

We haven't even reached Mars (as humans) yet. Do you honestly think our space shuttles or any kind of aircraft could win against the Covie's futuristic flagships or the Banshee/Phantoms?

And even if the Covies decided to go down and kill us, I think the Scarabs and Hunters alone would be enough to kill us all.

Ending a sentence with a preposition is one of the least followed grammatical rulesin the English language. While I try and follow it as much as I can, it is very easy to slip and make that mistake.

And what we don't have in real life includes hand held rail guns, sound-rifles, laser cannons, space-based warships, and molecularly hardened Titanium A.

And the NOVA.
