Only way I see a Halo PC game staying relevant for years on (ala counterstrike) is if it has excellent net coding, something both PC games are sorely lacking. If the core of the game is unstable most of the fanbase will continue to stay on the xbox where it runs completely smooth.

If the plan isn't for it to have a lasting community I don't see the point of even bringing this out. They won't make that much of a profit nor will the community be pleased. Lose/lose situation.

This is a Reach account that I created the day they announced his name in a bnet weekly update. Any stats regarding ODST or Halo 3 are irrelevant. Also, Halo CE master race. Halo 1 > other halo games > other games.

Account Status: Silver :(

halo 2 killed any chance of halo 3 coming to the PC.

There was a rumor a while back that Windows 8 will actually be able to play 360 games. If Microsoft could somehow unite Xbox Live with their massive Windows install base they could stand to win big.

Halo 3 at 1920x1200 AQx16 AAx16 at 60FPS would be so glorious I can hardly bear the thought.

By "a while back" I believe you meant a month ago.

Actually, he's probably right. In terms of sales and community reaction, it failed hard. It would be an understandable decision by Microsoft not to try it again from a business aspect.

Walk by faith. Dude. Not by sight.

Agree. M$ can't make enough money on this.

This. In addition I believe Microsoft doesn't want to make another Halo game for PC because it wants to make Halo exclusive to the XBOX. With Halo being exclusive to the XBOX Microsoft will be able to sell more XBOX's. I believe the main focus for Microsoft right now, in the gaming department, is on console gaming. Thus XBOX sales are very important to Microsoft.

Indeed mainly due to the losses with the poorly built faulty 2005 to 2009 red ring of death boxes. Being they invested so much in a faulty design and build, also having to spent the billions in warranty claims for replacements, fixes and refunds
to try to fix the problem for a lot of pissed gamers.

Plus on top of that producing a whole new design and build of the New Xbox Slim.

Halo being one of the top games to that made the console a success and lastly the world economy has gone to the dogs which means much less roast fezzant steamed with orphan tears, Unicorn fur Coats and wiping there backsides with $100 dollar bill toilet paper.

In all seriousness I believe Microsoft will work on fixing and cutting there losses before even considering porting Halo 3 to PC.
