Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

"Before you insult someone, try walking a mile in their shoes. This way, when you insult them, you are a mile away and have their shoes."

They wanted to allow it to become a game where one gun owned all the others, so they could take it back and make cheap, simple games. /trolling

OT: Bungie was bought up by Microsoft, and gave them the rights to Halo in order to become an independent company again (so they can develop other games and develop for other systems).

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Because they sold their souls signing with M$.

Whoever the owner(s) of Bungie sold Halo in June 2000 when they sold Bungie to Microsoft. There was no deal where Bungie sold Halo to Microsoft. Microsoft became the owner of Halo when they became the owner of Bungie.

Hi.

Because they realized that the better they got at making games the way they perceived them to turn out, the worse the games got.

I wish I could agree with this statement, sure I will try out Bungie's new game but they still need to win the crowd back with there new game.

Just because Bungie made it doesn't mean I will like it.

They didn't want to keep making the same thing. Despite how much their community likes Halo, making the same thing over and over again is a monotonous hell in and of itself despite how much their community would enjoy it. They want to both have fun and please the community.

Watch and learn.

We didn't sell Halo. Bungie was acquired by Microsoft before Halo: CE launched. If we could have become independent and kept Halo, we would have. For some reason, Microsoft didn't want to give it up.

You were partly right, after 10 years I would have gotten slightly bored, suppose if any of them wanted to carry on with Halo, 343i is around the corner.

They loved it, but not ad much as they love freedom.

Thus I refute thee

Because essentially Microsoft was hugging a bit too tight and so Bungie wanted to escape them in order for fun and freedom in what and where they want to go, I'm sure they miss it, I mean come on if you have ever watched where the originated and behind the scenes then you would know...

If it's too LOUD, You're too OLD

Am I right in thinking Microsoft 'acquired' bungie as a result of the whole wrong/bugged game being sent out way back when bungie was in the baby stage?

A case of an investor taking out one of the best bits of the company they invested in?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

One example would be Myth. Don't get me wrong, even though I don't like it, there is no denying the quality of the game.

It's stability as well. Especially with being a first party developer.
