~ I hate, therefore I am. ~

I'm probably going to get flammed so hard for this, but...

I think Halo: Reach is Bungie's best game to date. I could easily see myself still playing Reach 5 years from now.

I think that it is just that perfect, and here's why I think that;

The Campaign story, the Graphics, Musical composition, and over-all game play experience are simply immaculate IMO.

I personally think that it is the culmination of 10+ years spent perfecting a genre. Almost everything I have ever loved or wanted from an FPS is contained in Reach.

Halo 2 is also a strong runner up because of how much I love Matchmaking and playing online. Let's all remember that Bungie pretty much wrote Xbox Live as we know it today, and created the phenomenon that we know as PvP Battles, simply to support Halo 2.

Bungie has continually brought new innovation to the FPS genre, and IMHO, Reach is the perfect culmination of that.

Wake me, when you need me.

I've had the most fun with Halo 3. So Halo 3 wins by default.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I liked Halo 3: ODST's campaign the most, but had the most fun on Halo 3 multiplayer.

I'd say Halo: Combat Evolved. Everything after that game originated from Halo. Even then, Halo: CE's origin was a futuristic Myth game in development where you played as a superhuman soldier.
