I'm just here to check the meters.

If it isn't too much trouble? I haven't played it since I was 10 and would really like to play it again.

KillaGod is my alternate Bungie.net account with my Gamertag linked to that account!

Ty92PrideFireZ is my new alternate account with my new and permanent Gamertag linked to that account.

Pathways into Darkness is exclusively for Apple Macintosh personal computers. I'm assuming Bungie or Microsoft (whoever is in charge of adding new products to the marketplace) will not add this specific game to the XBL Marketplace.

I downloaded everything but have no idea what to do. LOL

I would ask for help but I think it is against the rules to discuss emulators right?

And a Mac OS 9 image, Mac OS 9 ROM, and properly configure it, and then yes. Also, I would recommend using SheepShaver.

Key

Considering I, sadly, have not played a single Bungie game before Halo 2 (and I only played the H2 campaign), I'd like this. Either this or Gnop. I wonder how hugely popular gnop would be on iOS if Bungie released this. I can imagine all the 1 star reviews now.

Don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about or how to set any of this up.I downloaded basilik2,path ways and a couple other programs and can't figure it out for the life of me.
My best bet is probably going to be to buy a cheap used mac ibook or something and a copy of the game in order to play.

If you really want to play it, I can help you out. It takes a lot of setting up to do. I've been asked several times on how to do this since I released this video where I used an emulator for the first 4 games (Gnop - PiD).

I'm seriously considering making a tutorial so everyone can get in on the Gnop action.

But if you want to do it, it's not easy to setup. It takes some messing around to do and about an hour of trying to get it to work. Just PM me.

OT: If Jason Jones would like to release the source code from underneath Bungie studios mountain of code were it has laid for nearly 18 years, I wouldn't mind trying to port the engine to the XBOX 360. All of the engine would pretty much have to be recoded, but it can be done.

For Carnage Apply Within - We played Marathon before Marathon was cool!

Keep it authentic...

Only M12, Placid, Sard, and I would buy it anyway and Microsoft is only in it for the moneys.

Rather than playing it n an emulator i'm just going to trust my gut feeling that it kinda sucks and get on with my life.

Riiight, just like how marathon wasn't obtusely designed, Myth 2 was the biggest RTS of the year, and Gnop isn't just Pong spelled backwards

I program games, that's all you need to know.

Wasn't that a Macintosh exclusive?

You look at it at a perspective of todays standards. Back in 1993, it was the game to play back on the Apple. Of course it doesn't really stand up to todays standards, but that doesn't mean you should't play it.

I'm not quite sure if you have play Marathon, because Marathon 1 (or any of them) would realize that it wasn't obtusely designed. It was one of the first games to have internet play over AppleTalk networks, first game to incorporate a mike into the game, first game that I know to have co-op play, and still has a story line that is better than a majority of games created today (even though it was more like reading a book back then rather than cinematics today). I don't really consider any of that to be obtusely designed.

Of course Myth II wasn't the biggest RTS of 1998 (I think a game called Starcraft came out that year), but the campaign is still ridiculousness fun to play.

As for Gnop, well looks like you just let the cat out of the bag.

I can think of many others that would play it as well.

As for the topic it will likely never happen since it's highly doubtful that many people will purchase it. Would be nice though.
