Hey guys,

I just found out about this today after experimenting a bit. Bungie seem to have an encrypted version of their site, this is really good, encrypted means the connection between you and Bungie's servers is secure and can't be hacked. I would encourage everyone of you to use this.

Here's an example, make sure you have cookies enabled so every link you press will remain encrypted.

[Hmm... it appears that the hyperlink extensions () don't work with SSL.]

you can't click http secure links in b.net and lots of websites nowadays have this added security feature, and it has been known that bungie has it for some time.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Be careful, just because something is secure doesn't mean it cannot be hacked--it may just be quite harder.

Yeah, just found that out, thanks man.

EDIT: I'm used to the slow pace of the PC forum :) that was directed to the first replier.

This too. Don't get the false sense that you're ever safe on the internet. It just makes it harder, put still very possible.

It's extremely unlikely than anyone's going to hack our account anyway. This is a forum, not a money dealing website.

Slightly off topic, but if I remember right it automatically switches to https after filling in the beta survey.

Yeah, anything to do with filling out sensitive information (such as passwords, credentials, surveys) is required to be encrypted. ( I think anyway)
