Well, first off, they have a marginal grasp of the English language, unlike most on this forum. Secondly, they are moderators.

As some of the other posts have been... a little less imformative I shall tell you.

Ninja's are Bungie members who have been asked to help keep the forums clean. They recieve a personal avatar, the Forum Ninja Role and the powers given to them by Bungie themselves to keep these forums clean. To name a few: Temporary blacklist, Lock Threads, move threads, and they gain much respect from the Bugnie members (usually). These people are not working for bungie and don't have a schedule, they Moderate at there own times, there is only 1 Forum Ninja that is payed. It is Shishka. He also works for bungie though. the moderators also recieve some cool bungie "Shwag" for helping out. They are cool people to talk with, unless you break a rule then there mean and evil, nasty looking giant one eyed fish monsters who go by the name of... fishacobra.

To name a few there is:

TGP
Impurity
Shishka
Recon number 54
VII Toast
Chris
dmbfan09
Yoozel
Stosh
Nosferatu_Soldie
Anton P Nym
GameJunkieJim
Goweb
MakaVeli4LIfe1

There are more but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I hope this was helpful in your understanding of what Ninjas are.

There are also two different kinds of Ninjas. The Master Forum Ninjas and the Forum Ninjas.
Then theres the webmaster, Achronos, who plays the role of God here in the Forums.

You won't be becoming one anytime soon, so if that is what you are thinking, I would recommend putting it out of mind.

They do the same things as all other members in the process of creating a new topic. Some people are wrong.

For the past few weeks ive noticed that some bungie peoples are forum ninjas instead of members.Whats the differance.

Well, for one, I can kill you with my mind.

(Not really. But it sounds cool, don't it?)

As others have posted, Ninjas are moderators here at Bungie.net; if you have questions about the forums or need to report spam or flame posts, feel free to PM any of us or email the bnetmods email address in my signature. We're glad to help.

-- Steve'll help here, too, by moving this post to the Septagon. That's the forum dedicated to bungie.net and community issues; the Underground is more for discussing old-school games and the goings-on in Bungie Studios.

Shi t ka will hurl insults at you to prove his point...(and then lock the thread)
Achronos is the forum God... He gets PAID and he doesn't have to reply to your punk-asses...but he does becouse he cares.

OOo. Perhaps if you're lucky, pimp33, you may even get to see a forum ninja in action!
See now how i report the above person's post...

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.

That seemed a little uncalled-for. He's just a new member asking some innocent questions.

Well, because threads created by moderators get more attention than the usual new topics, they do have to take into consideration how their topics might be received (and sometimes twisted) by the general public. Although I doubt this is really "extra crap" since they didn't become mods by being reckless in the first place.

Yeah but it still sucks.

Ever try to make a speculation, then you think about it, and realize a couple hundred will think it's automatic Bungie canon simply because of the white text.

Most people don't realize that we don't have any insider info. We're just members like anyone else, just ones that were conscripted to keep spam and trolls away.

And the whole mind killing thing. But that's really a fringe benefit.

*giggles*

Maybe you people* should put it in your sigs!!1! Yeah, that might work. See, people will read your posts, see more shiny white writing, and read it. Then they'll read something along the lines of "Pure Speculation" or something. So then, they will know!!!1!

Just stopping him from making "can I be a ninja" thread, perhaps even saving him from a bit of humiliation.

Case and point to your second paragraph: TGP's thread. 119 replies, and it was all a joke...

Mabian does what every member with common sense should do, he helps. He's not a wannabe ninja... and he's certainly not a Ninja, not yet atleast. Anyways, all i'm saying is that he's the type of member who helps, that's always a good quality you dont see now a days.
