UNSC has 1 space yaht.

Covenant have a Jackal sailboat..... soooo

Approximately over 9000!
And yes, the UNSC does have a wet Navy.

I have no idea honestly, they do have ships though, definitely nowhere near as much as at the start of the war. And the Sangheili fleet that came to Earth in Halo 3 weren't their only ships, those were just the ones sent from Delta Halo to pursue the Flood ship that had escaped quarantine on the ring.

If the dead had feelings, your head would still be ringing from my buck shot going through your skull.

i agree with OrderedComa ...they still have alot of ships left...but i want to know...is did high cherity and the flood wipe them all out....cause how would high Cherity even be able to jump to the ark...without its coordinates....or did it go through the portal...?

By ships i assusme you mean starships of frigate class or higher...

Elites = Between 50-200

UNSC does have more than 40 ships...

You forgot about surviving inner colonies like minister, lepsai, etc. They had sizable population which it suggests that it has large defense forces stationed there. It's only logical way to assert.

Also, they can rebuild their losses very quickly due to frigate and destroyer is cheaper to make, easy to mass produce. It's likely that UNSC Navy had some numbers left.

Frigates are so convenient.

Both Minister and Lenapi have populations over 200 million, with Lenapi having 500 million, it's obvious they have at least 10 ships guarding their planet.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

There is no way to know but i will just say some things.

Jackals are in the best spot ship wise since they haven't been shattered by the war and were never completely assimilated. So They should have the most ships right now.

Humans i wan to say should have a few hundred since i totaled the number of ships had/lost during the war from both sides and each side had a few hundred ships unaccounted for [i'll search for my post].

I think the UNSCs MIA ship number was around 500 and i think it was nearly the same for the covenant. only issue with he covenant is the fact they could be elite or brute ships which lowers the number.

Let us not forget Covenant controlled space, it is obvious that there are defense fleets all over that area.

Hard to estimate the number of human ships, but I will say that the number would have to be critically low. As the primary fleet has been completely decimated eight times over, there were comments made about bringing once-decommissioned ships back into service due to the loss of active ships and construction yards.

Can you imagine what percentage of ships would have to be lost in order for a technologically advanced (Humans would be advanced, in the 26th century) to have to throw every available resource into a fight?

which were brute/Elite ships that fought each other during halo 2-3.

The entire covenant ship number could be broken up in half then broken down further since elites and brutes both had ships.

Elites would have infrastructure, though. Ship yards, refitting stations, fuel depots, training facilities. These would have been in place since before the start of the Covenant, and built upon since. Brutes got close to this once, but wiped themselves out with nuclear war. With the Schism, I would assume they were given ships, but I can't imagine they had full military production capabilities by the time of the Battle of the Ark.
