Doubtful. Despite its market dominance in phones, Android tablets are -blam!- arse, and will continue to be so for the next year at least. Why do you say that?Generally speaking, Android tablets we've seen so far have all had some pretty serious hardware issues. Not enough to make them bad tablets, but certainly enough to curtail gaming on them. Plus, Honeycomb itself is a bit hit and miss. We're onto the third iteration of Honeycomb, and it's still a bit iffy, and the number of iterations has introduced fragmentation problems, exacerbating the disparities in android tablet hardware. We likely won't see the level of stability and hardware parity we see in android phones until the release of Ice Cream Sandwich, which is scheduled in Q4 2011, but will take at least another six months to gain any serious market share.
Say what you like about Apple's locked-in ecosystems (and I'm definitely of the opinion that targeting iOs is short-sighted and, frankly, a bit silly), but it does make early adoption and development a whole hell of a lot easier. There are no teething problems, no fragmentation, no instability, to quote apple, it does in fact "just work". The question is for how long will it "just work" well enough. Within a year or two the tablet market (should it still exist, which is doubtful, tablets suck), will almost certainly go the way of the PC market and the smartphone market, with consumers flocking to the open alternative.
