Yesterday I was about to beat Assault On The Control Room on Legendary for my first time (I've beaten it acouple of times on cooperative) and I was on the final stretch and my annoying little bro tells my dad that I'd played over my time limit. I had to shut it off, and now I'm grounded from Halo for a week. But anyway how long does it take you to beat Assault On The Control Room and what's your favorite part?
you fool! AOTCR is one of the easiest levels you want a hard level then play on T&R its the mother of them all! and yes it does take a hour or two.

How long does it take, well, you could take the hard route and go through the entire level filled with enemies... OR you could slide off the first bridge and play the rest of the level without opposition and beat in in 15 min.(I know... kind of cheap).

aotcr shouldant take two hours unless your really slow and careful. im slow and careful but on legendary it takes me about an hour maybe less..Two betrayals is well hard though on legendary because it takes your shield away when you walk in the beam leaving you as easy meat for the flood.

Yes... actually you can get off the first bridge. There are vids on the internet showing it. There are 2 ways to do it:

1. Throw a very well placed gernade by the shade so it blows off the edge, get in the shade at the right time and ride it all the way down.(This way is very hard and I havn't done it, I've only seen it done)

2. (This option is easier, but still difficult) Jump off the left side of the bridge onto the first ledge. Walk down the first ledge as far as you can and slide down hugging the wall and hold down on forward. It takes lots of practice, but in the right spot, you can land on the second ledge. Walk on the second ledge around behind the marines to the big rocks below. Find a slanted spot on the wall and slide down, duck when you hit bottom. Once again, takes lots of practice, but once you get used to it, it is easy.

If you go fast enough, you can beat the pelican down and hop in when it leaves.
You are now free to play the rest of the level without opposition. You will eventuall come to a locked (red) door, but there are a few ways around it. If you need help there, ask, and maybe I will give a few hints.

If I didn't explain it well enough, or if you still don't believe me, go here and see for yourself.

http://halosm.bungie.org/tipsntricks/tricks.html?level=aotcr& amp;page=2

click on "AotCR First Bridge Descent - SOLO"about 2/3 of the way down the page, then click on the picture that appears to view the vid.
