This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

I know we live in the age of online gaming nowadays, which is completley understandable, but I just can't stop thinking about those original Halo LAN nights.

You may know the drill. Trying to figure out a location, who has that extra TV, who can provide those extra controllers and who could bring over that second disk of Halo...just good times.

If I didn't even like you in middle school (when Halo 1 came out for me) but you said you wanted to play some Halo, you were coming over and 1v1'ing me and let the best man win. I probably still disliked you after it was all said and done, but Halo brought us together.

Hooking up back to back TV's and screaming at the other side as you shoot their dead body just knowing that they would come back for you. When close matches ended, you were standing up and rubbing it in some of your best friends faces.

You know, the days when having 4 players on one screen was not a thing to complain about, but rather something to enjoy?

Then the next day...after staying up all night and pumping your brain full of caffine or beer...you try to figure out whose controllers belonged to who. And even when you have not had enough sleep and/or you feel like crap...you cannot wait to do it all over again.

<3 Miss you Halo Combat Evolved and the experiences you made me enjoy with good people.

Those were the good ol' days. Having our moms order pizza and get tons of Dew. Staying up through all hours of the night to system link. Or how about the days when you used to sluff school just to play Halo? I remember getting into fist fights with my best friends just over Halo.

Those times were the best. Unfortunately none of my friends are that much into Halo anymore, nor have the time to set up a LAN.

I miss Halo CE. Anniversary is gonna bring back some memories.

Some of my friends from college and I still get together from time to time to play Halo by linking together our systems, it's a good excuse to get together and catch up on stuff.

We used to do every thursday night for something like three years running. When H2 came out we migrated to that so we weren't limited by the number of boxes we could run.
People started straggling into our pal Geno's home @ 6 and we'd play until 1AM or as late as 3AM if we were ready to call in sick or not plan on going to school on friday morning. We'd stoke up the BBQ and consume a case of beer at least.
Our best night had 8 players and I ended up crashing on his couch before the sun came up.
I agree with Roman17 when I look back I feel like something is missing when I play on XBLive now.

If you want to do CEA LAN parties you still will be able too. It is the exact same game with graphics and easter eggs. There will still be the same LAN capabilities. That will be the unique multiplayer of CEA. And I'll have a double pepperoni please :D

Lan or splitscreen will always be the best
its fun to play on live with players but its not nearly as fun as player with your friends in your livingroom
I hope CEA can bring back the fun with an option of classic multiplayer

This. I don't really enjoy Halo 3/Reach as much as CE or 2, and that's probably because everyone plays online now instead of splitscreen/link. IF CEA does have original multiplayer, I would be more tempted to buy it, although I still have my original CE lying around...

R.I.P. Halo 2

Those were the days...

Halo is actually the reason I know almost all of my best friends. Had I not become friends with these people, my life probably wouldn't be half as good as it is. I laugh at anyone who says video games are a waste of time and that you can't make friends through them.

I still have LAN Parties. Had one about a month ago with Reach. Played some competitive matches and some fun things like racing. Was really fun. All you have to do is.... Well.... Have friends and the ability to organize a party...

I make a living of selling my body, and I don't mean sex.

Halo CE Lan > Reach Lan
LolReachLanParties
Even if its purely nostalgia Halo CE Lan > Halo Reach Lan

Splitscreen/Lan on Reach = Lol
