Yeah, just hit the Skip button and run Halo anyways.
Go to Newegg.com and browse for a new Card/Processor if you want. But a few things. You'll have to know a lot more about comptuers than what you apparently know right now about computers (freezing/unfreezing). Assuming that is all you know about computers...
Firstoff, browse the internet, and try to get more information and knowledge about computers. My HMC2 clan website's got quite a few techies there willing to help, you're welcome to join...
But for starters, I would shore up on a few things. Know what your computer uses to run, know what your computer does. Realize that upgrading a processor is nothing like installing a program. This is a hardware component change, one that requires you to open up your computer and put something into it.
Here's a brief overview, though. You might want to go run Command Prompt (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt) and type in:
dxdiag
and let it run its course. That brings up all your computer specs and hardware information. Post it all here and also post the brand/make of computer.
Then you'll be able to take apart your computer. It varies for computer, might have to tinker with how it comes apart. Know what kind of Motherboard you're using, since certain processors won't work with certain motherboards. Once you know what kind of processor your Mobo accepts, then you'll be all clear to get a processor.
