Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I'll take a popularity contest over a roll of the die any day.
Assuming the only alternative to the ass-kissing department is the flip of a coin. Obviously there are better methods of determining who is a capable member.
Of course.
But I've been here a while, I've seen the moderators come and go like the tide.
There were great names. Recon, Ash, Pezza, BobBQ, JAF many more.
Then, those that I grew up with took hold of the torch, and carried it forward, guiding the way and banishing the dark.
Foman, QBIX, Duardo, El Roboto
Were they the popular ones?
Absolutely.
But why were they popular? These individuals followed the rules. They contributed to the community. The content they provided was thoughtful, full of insight, and polished.
Did they brown nose? People might say they did. But they forget that these individuals knew the moderators that served them at the time, so naturally they would joke with the moderators, throw jibs at them via the forums. Of course, to the every member, this looks like brown nosing, instead of the friendly banter that it truly is.
I've been in your shoes before, good sir. I know the feeling. But as time passed, I came to realize that things rarely are what they initially seem to be.
