I have been having some issues with a friend of mine over who is better. Is there any way can you play with only 2 players in halo reach in matchmaking. I don't want to do it through custom game cause I want the pay out.

Not really, no. Just do it in Customs if it's that important to you. If you care about credits more, then it clearly isn't that important. No biggie.

If you're talking about playing on his account and yours, you will need a second xbox and tv. I don't think you can have 2 online on the same xbox at the same time.

Just play best 2 out of 3 on FF Doubles, OP.

Whomever gets the best scores in 2 out of 3 games is the better player.

Simple.

Up to 4, in fact, but some playlists do have a local player maximum of 2.
