Would Six have had a shotgun?

As seen in the final cutscene, six can take a lot more than 2 elites, so he would have survived to hold super carrier off while Emile went with Keyes.

The Phantom dropped off a bunch of Zealots around the mass driver, and I assume that the Zealot who killed Emile was standing not too far out of sight. So he would've been close enough to surprise anyone with a motion tracker.

In canon, Six is holding a DMR - but were their roles reversed I would hope he/she would have a shotgun. However, remembering that Six is not Emile, I would expect him/her to retain a DMR.

All we can say is maybe, because we have no way of knowing what Six would do - down to the slightest twitch of a muscle - that differs from Emile's actions.

(For what-if and if-then discussions like this I operate based on cutscenes and such rather than gameplay)

Considering they're all over the level, yes.

It's Pokémon, not Pokemon!

That wouldn't be good.

Remember kids, Emile is a horrible teammate!

Exactly! The Elite dropped directly below the Phantom, then walked up to Emile. He wouldn't show up on the motion tracker.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Emile would have died in another horrible forced no thought death cutscene.

N-6 would have either followed the same path as ^ or went MIA, leading to fan speculation.

You don't have to have a motion sensor to look behind you and you don't have to spend 10 seconds lining up a shotgun blast at point blank to someone who is already down.

These are meant to be Spartans, lifetime of war and training. Motion trackers are an addition to enhancing their ability. Not a sole ability.

It was a CCS-class battlecruiser.

That's irrelevant in this discussion. Though if it were up to Noble Six, I think he would've been smart enough to NOT let any Phantoms drop troops on him.
