Subject: Who is the unknown lefty-elite?

Here's my advice to you son, its a life lesson you shan't forget.

Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't good for anything in particular, but it still makes you smile when you push them down the stairs

(IGNORE THIS THREAD, IT HAS BEEN DIS-PROVEN)

Ummm...well...ordered his lackeys who did it?

Behold.
(SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc-YJKh5NW8&feature=relate d

The selling points: Every KNOWN arbiter in the Halo universe is left-handed (The Halo 2-3 Arbiter can be debated due to conflicting canon, with all the Bungie and 343 canon baloney) You can kinda tell that the left-handed elite in the vid is kinda calling the shots. Six gets shanked by a Zealot, with all his officer and general buddies around him. Weird how the left-handed elite is just standing there watching all the fighting unfolding. If I'm right and he's a higher rank than zealot, then this means 3 possibilities...

1. A possible shipmaster. Thel was a shipmaster before E.T. (erm... the Prophet of Truth) made him an arbiter in the beginning cutscene of Halo 2.

2. The arbiter at that time which Thel eventually replaced.

3. Another higher-ranking elite dude

What do YOU think happened?

Discuss.

Cogito ergo sum.

Most likely Thel Vadam before he became the Arbiter, because the Arbiter before him had already been killed during the events of Halo Wars.

Yeah, I agree. And just to clarify about "The arbiter before Thel", I meant the arbiter directly before Thel. Not the Halo Wars one.

Too bad Thel was too busy commanding the entire invading force that attacked Reach, and was pursuing the Autumn in Slipspace.

Um, proof of the "EVERY ARBITER IS LEFT HANDED" Line?

Infact, the ONLY left handed Elite I've seen in halo lore is Rtas(aka half jaw)

The arbiter in Duel and the one in Halo Wars can use weapons in either hand, and thus cannot be labeled purely left handed.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

It's just another random high ranking Elite, simple at that.

You are correct, but it's not impossible for Thel to have gotten off his ship to kill Noble six. I mean after all, there are a bunch of dead spartans where six died. Plus, very high-ranking elites are known to go into battle. If I heard reports of a huge group of spartans in one position, I'd bring a bunch of high-ranking elites with me plus grunts, jackals, everything I had and then make sure that they were dead. Just saying, it's a possibility.

"There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe."

Probably just a random, high ranking Elite. I can't imagine a Supreme Fleet Master would be on the ground fighting.

Thel followed the Pillar of Autumn, he can't be in two places at once.

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Thel chased the Pillar of Autumn from Reach at roughly 08:00. Rtas was on a ship that was a part of his fleet. 6 died at roughly 20:00 hours.

Unless Thel or Rtas could be in two places at the one time then it is not them.

Damn, you might be right. But didn't the Autumn leave on the 29th, or was it the 30th? Plus, how do we know how long it took for Thel to chase the Autumn after she jumped? Sorry guys, I have to go. I'll try and respond to your posts as soon as possible. Thank you all for the input.

Going by Reach's dates, roughly around a month.

I think that was ritas vadumee from halo wars, he is left handed For the most part, and rarely uses his right.

you need to get a couple of things straight:

1. Arbiter is right-handed

2. That would never be him, because he'd already be chasing the POA to halo by then

3. There are quite possibly millions of elite that are left handed

Your best bet is a high ranking elite, but who knows.

  • 08.25.2011 9:26 PM PDT

Damn! I meant Ripa noramee, just making an opinion. No need to face anvil.

Sparty Boy is right, by the time Six finally bought it Thel is long gone chasing down the PoA to 04. Great idea though, I'd love it to be true.

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.

This theory again?

Geez, the basis of this theory completely relies on the sole fact that all Arbiters are primarily left handed and not one single Elite possessing the ability to use a sword in their left hand.

Guess what? It's already proven that none of the Arbiter's exclusively use their left hand for sword usage. And on top of that other Elites like Rtas can use their left hand when wielding swords as well.

There is no exclusive trait exhibited by that Elite in the cutscene to tie an identity to it. The entire theory falls apart into nothing as a result of its crappy foundation revolving around the left hand being the key piece of evidence.

  • 08.26.2011 3:15 AM PDT

How could it be the halo wars arbiter (Ripa moramee), isn't that based before reach

Why can't an elite be left handed without being the arbiter?
oh thats right, they can!!

Dude, Ripa Moramee died before Reach.

  • 08.26.2011 5:39 AM PDT

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The Pillar of Autumn flees Reach at 1652 hours (almost 5pm), and Thel 'Vadamee gives chase with several of his ships.

Noble Six dies at 2000 hours (8pm), that's a whole 3 hours after the Autumn left Reach. So unless Thel can somehow be in 2 places at once, to say he was the one who killed Six is utter bollocks.
