CONCEPT art. That doesn't mean that it will be in the game. The game is still a year away and people are taking the concept art as if it were concrete evidence of things in the game.

Okay, so you're telling me that since 343 put up an image featuring a big UNSC ship on a Halo 4 board at the most important Halo event of the year, it's not a decent indication that the faction will appear in the game?

Definition of concept: A plan or intention; a conception.

And not all concepts get passed.

Yeh, it's a great idea to bring a great big bunch of concept art and some information that has nothing to do with Halo 4's canon and stick it on the most important wall of PAX 2011...

I was being sarcastic by the way...

It amazes me how people are staring at blatantly obvious facts that the UNSC will be in halo 4 but still argue.

All of the games have featured that faction. They're a completely necessary part in the games. To change up the formula completely would not only divide the community but it'd be a poor business decision as well.

THERE! RIGHT THERE! this is what i've been saying!

What? It shows that you and Ruby can't live without UNSC and Covenant. Are you blind? Have you ever played Halo trilogy with two spinoffs? Adding UNSC/Covenant is bad move for business because you guys just can't adapt to the changes. Ever you have read Cryptum? In my opinion, Halo 4 should have feeling and theme of Cryptum where it has no UNSC and Covenant there. That way, we can learn more about Forerunners and (possible) precursors.

Besides, there is very good reasons that UNSC or "ex-Covenant" won't be there. I already explained about it in while ago. Also ENCYCLOPEDIA states that Humanity didn't find MC by 2610, so it's unlikely for "ex-Covenant" to be there as well.

Stop riding on UNSC/Covenant thing and learn to how to adapt to new changes. And it's not really hard to make new original weapons, enemies, locations, etc.

There is NO CONFIRMATION THAT UNSC WILL BE THERE AT HALO 4, IDIOT. So seeing warthog doesn't make that UNSC will be there. Stop spreading falsified information.

One picture 1 year away from release hardly counts as "obvious facts." I'm not on either side here, but it sounds like you guys are jumping the gun here.

2. UNSC will be present in some way, considering we have the most up to date model.

Erm, no. This is most likely to be artistic license.

Looking at it, parts seem modified. Like perhaps Chief recovered one of the warthogs in the hanger and added those roll-bars/extra fuel tanks/light on the windshield.

It's funny when stupid people comment crap like this without watching Frankie's PAX interview...

It's funny when people assume others knew about every interview and spent time to listen to every one.

Yeh, but the real funny thing is that there is only one and it is on the main Halofest page...

Theres that and also dude read between the lines. Just because there is no actual confirmation does not mean that various facts points to them being included

So you are willing to accept 343i's lazy work in Halo 4? How disappointing. Like I said, adding UNSC or Covenant that makes no sense to be in Halo 4 promotes bad story writing ergo, storyline will be bad. Also, that's reason why they have three year development cycle- they can develop new original storyline, weapons, enemies. I think you never bothered to study in game design/story writing/engineering/programming.

Why anybody can't understand that it is centered at John's destiny instead of UNSC or Covenant's destiny? This planet is FORERUNNER, as Mendicant Bias sent John to Forerunners as his atonement to sins. So it's highly likely that he sent him to Forerunner planet that every species (except Flood, possibly Precursors and Forerunners) does not know about this planet.

Making a Halo 4 similar to Cryptum promotes good storyline, new experience, etc.

This could potentially generate heat but suppose 343 goes the halo 2 route. Have two different story lines tied together at the end

  • 08.27.2011 1:59 PM PDT

Walk softly, and carry a big midget.

They're probably going to mention this at the Halo 4 panel tomorrow.

I'm sure you're right and it is centred aound John's destiny but it also concerns the whole galaxy's destiny. If I remember correctly the H4 page on halo.xbox.com says something about an ancient evil that threatens the entire galaxy, not just john's life.

Yes, I know. But it doesn't make that UNSC/ex-Covenant being at Halo 4. I can guarantee that they may appear at end of Halo 5. So I don't know why they still argue that UNSC/Covenant should be at Halo 4 because "they can't adapt" the new changes. We are WILLING to accept to play a game without UNSC/Covenant for Forerunners, Precursors and Flood. "Ancient Evil" can be meant as Precursors or Flood.

I wake up to find myself
After all these years
And where all the time has gone
Still seems so unclear

I can't believe you guys are still arguing over this.

The UNSC will be in Halo 4. One way or another. Who's to say part of the game takes place after 2610? We just don't know. There's no point in arguing over this since we have no facts. It's like trying to argue why the sky is blue without ever seeing a large body of water. You don't have any of the dependent variables.

Except for the concept art on the most important wall at HaloFest. You seriously can't deny something like that.
