Because I expect 343 to have a thing called standards. They have set up canon that they have made themselves. If they are violating it already before they make their first game, why should I trust them?
Because it's not even that big of a detail. You're only making it seem horrible. Quit being such a whiny baby over such a tiny contradiction.
So if I take it right, You view Reach as ruining the canon, and that's horrible, but 343 possibly ruining the canon by ignoring book details/evidance(the most common anti-Reach explaination), is perfectly fine?
Didn't I already say that I exaggerate when I say that? I was more-so referring to the fact that Bungie IGNORED the novel. But that's completely irrelevant to what I'm saying to Cobra, so stop trying to take shots at me for that.
And F.Y.I., I said I don't believe the novels are a good way to tell the stories of games, I never said I didn't ACCEPT them (though I might have a while ago before changing my reasoning). I've read The Flood, and half of First Strike if that counts for anything. I have Ghosts of Onyx but I had NO idea what was going on when I read it a few years back so I stopped.
