All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Could it ever live up to our expectations?

If you loved halo because it gave you the chance to create your own personal take on a brave, remarkable world, wouldn't a movie just overwrite it all?

All intelligent nuances you'd spent a decade exploring, imagining in minute detail - it would have to be replaced it with what's needed in a movie that has to make 100's of millions. :|

I may be alone in this...

If what makes halo a great game isn't likely to survive becoming a blockbuster, if all that's left is a Master Chief branded blockbuster, why make it at all?

Have faith in me

Yeah. It would summarize the whole story of Reach and the other Halos. It would probably be called 'Spartan's of Halo'

The Halo series was my first and favorite FPS series.
I enjoy most games throughout all systems despite what some people say.

Oh, and on the forums, I tell it like it is, like it or not.

They tried that, ran out of funding, and used the costumes/props in other movies.

I can't remember a video game movie that has been good, so no.

HELL YES! A Halo movie, if done right, could be amazing. MAKE IT NOW!

Specifically District 9.
OT: Sure, why not? It wouldn't surprise anyone if it sucked, but if they could get it right in would be unbelievable, and one of the only good "Game movies"

I run Skirmish!!!

as amazing as it could be, there is too much in the halo universe to make a movie out of that would be interesting for the general public that knows little about halo

Yes they should make one, BUT IT MUST STICK TO THE GAME'S STORYLINE.

They should avoid the directors and producers who try and change the canon likw how they destroyed Resident Evil.

I say yes.

I also say that they probably missed the window for all the hype surrounding the game.

You know the movie probably would not be too bad especially if it was battle heavy and the story was written in a way that we did not have to see too many other characters.

Some of the known commanders from the games and books and not more than a specific handful of ODSTs and Spartans.

Have to have the MC save people a few times to distinguish himself and build the following of fans for the movie watchers(not gamers)

If they can't make a movie watcher love him and feel like he is really humanities last hope and bring the emotion of the game then don't make the film.

That will be hard with a masked dude.

Huge battle scenes and some Spec Ops going on. Things like 1000,s of grunts lined up and stuff like the Reach Trailer when 6 blows up.

While that scene in itself was pretty sweet they would need more specific battles as well.

Could it be great I say yes easily but it could also easily be ruined by a suit in Hollywood.

There is no evil, just perspectives.

Halo 4 Ever.

If no one knows, they are making one, set to release in November this year, it's called Halo : Faith, it's a fan made movie with actual funding, check it out. but ive seen several good movies, such as ultramarine for space marine and stuff like that.

if microsoft funds a movie, they need to make it awesome. like that wars cutscene where red team kicked elite ass and the arbiter died
