it's as simple as this the things you think are bad I think are cool and add to my experience.

The majority of halo 2 fans have fun playing halo 2 if you didn't have fun playing halo 2 then it's not your fault you might not enjoy how things moved and interact.

I heard the more you play it the more one understands. and if you understand halo 2 more you'd find it hard not to have fun playing it.

then again some people are hopeless romantics of the slow moving ce,halo3 and halo reach and no matter how much they play halo 2 they might find it to hard to adapt to what we find fun.

if you play kai with me I'll show you just a few things that makes halo 2 the best halo of all of them.

also you could make specific things better but the way things harm and help each other in terms of game play would change.

This would cause any changes to halo 2 to remove some aspects that made it so perfect, therefore changing what you see as bad would ruin halo 2 just look at halo 3 (it's horrible lol).

Would someone explain to me how people like this can be this stupid? Halo CE is slow paced? ROTFL

I would like to see this guy play Halo PC. Who agrees?

This shouldn't be in the Halo PC forum (Off-Topic towards the forum), this discussion has been worn out many times, and comparing Halos in terms of skill, in any truly "skilled" competitive gamer's eye, would be like comparing the fighting ability of two little kids who are sparring each other in a Martial Arts tournament. If you come up to any person who plays true FPS games on the PC more often than games that are disfigured to suit a console experience (This includes Halo PC), you'll most likely get yourself one good humiliating group laugh.

If you want to see a competitive game, play the earlier Unreal Tournaments, Quake III Arena, or Counter-Strike.

(Yes, Halo is my favorite FPS franchise. Reason being is because its fun. I enjoy playing it more than most other shooters. At the same time I realize that it doesn't take as much skill as those games do. Therefore, I never play Halo competitively, but I do play it casually.)

Halo CE is slow paced.

Leave the guy alone, he may be blinded my his own fanboyism but he's is a nice guy nevertheless. He was being nice to you, not looking for a trolling competition.

Halo 2 is a faster paced shooter, walking speed is slower; but maps were made smaller, jumping height higher, added melee lunge, too many power weapons = more kills = faster paced, and spawn time is usually set to instant (where as most Halo PC servers are set to 3 seconds). I wholeheartedly believe that a slower shooter is more enjoyable though.

A slower shooter is a tactical and a thought out shooter. Also, shot leading is not required in halo 2, which leads (pun intended) to more kills/deaths which makes matches move faster.

Let I remind everyone here that faster paced doesn't mean higher amount of skill. If that were true Call of Duty would be one of the most skillful games ever created. It's all about how multiple parts of the game are put together. The movement speed/kill speed/hitboxes/weapon balance/etc. all determine the skill of the game. Counter-Strike's movement speed isn't fast, in fact its slow paced, but in how fast the kill times are/how hard it is to actually shoot someone make it a highly skilled tactical shooter.

In the case between Halo 2 and Halo PC, Halo PC does have faster kill times with it being harder to hit people. The higher amount of skill you have, the lower amount of shots it will take to kill someone. That does in fact add to its skill, but, as I stated before, two little kids sparring in a Martial Arts tournament.

This is idiotic bull-blam!-. Is it even possible for you to make a comment not meant to offend anyone? Are you just trying to appeal to a certain crowd by constantly making fun of people who like H2V?

PS: Yes, Halo is slow-paced.

Halo Reach PC über alles!

Or you could just redirect him to this thread.

  • 08.26.2011 2:29 PM PDT

I didn't once see how he said Halo 2 took more skill than Halo PC. He did however say it was fun, and justified some of those reasons by saying he could "show you". However, whilst we may disagree, i can argure that Halo 2 Xbox can be a fun experience at times, even if it is an aim assisted shooter.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

1. It's totallymassive. He might as well change his username to totallyretarded.

2. Ben, your opinion is irrelevant until you know how to play FPS.

3. Yes, HPC is slow-paced if you play with people that suck. If you play with people that are good, the game becomes significantly faster-paced than any H2 match.

Hey Dusk, post that on the Halo 2 forum and see how many people respond with somthing along the lines of "YOU DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GAME IS THE BEST! WE LOVE THE GLITCHES AND STUFF!!!! GTFO!!!!!!".

I would imagine atlest 50 different people would post that.

Wait a second... that sounds alot like the entire population of Halo 2 Vista...

Something smells fishy...

I believe to be skillful in an FPS game you mainly need to have quick reflexes. But there are other skills such as knowing the maps, knowing what weapons to use, knowing good weapon combos, knowing how to move tactfully, and knowing how to be stealthy.
So with that, in my opinion, the FPS genre takes skill.

Now, comparing Halo: Combat Evolved PC to Halo 2 Vista would be hard to for me to do because I haven't been able to run Halo 2 Vista properly. However I have played both games for the XBOX but sadly I don't remember much about the multiplayer game play for either on the XBOX. It's been almost a decade since I played Halo: Combat Evolved on the XBOX.

....you'd probably get about two people saying that. This reminds me of that time you said people liked Mario for the story.

This.

But i do agree that Halo PC takes more skill, i just fail to see where totallymassive said Halo 2 took more. Then again you did post on the Halo 2 forum, you know, where most of the Halo 2 fans are..

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Not to be a prick or nothing omega, but you are pretty pathetic.

You are a sad, little man.

You go over to the Halo 2 Xbox Forum and babble then you come to the Halo PC Forum and create a thread about it? You hope to get the support from the members here thinking that their all are gonna laugh with you and give you internet high fives?

You may share the same views on games as the other members here do, but you will never see these guys scoop to your level and my friend...that level is sometimes what I hose off at the bottom of my shoe after I step in my dogs -blam!-.

  • 08.27.2011 10:31 AM PDT

Pathetic is an understatement, every single one of his threads are him constantly whining and babbling about halo 2. He is in no way contributing to this forum, infact, he's making it worse.

It is kinda weird how protective they are of that game, even though it's only average at best imo.

I guess everyone will defend something they enjoy. What may be enjoyable to some won't be to others, and it's their choice to argue the points. However, looking for arguments like this isn't the way to do it.
