If you want to be serious here, then I do have some ideas. Won't share all of them, mostly because I tend to go into a bit too much detail. Anywho:
"Trebuchet" M154 Special Applications Rifle/Anti-Materiel
The M154 was a large and cumbersome anti-tank rifle developed early in the Insurrection, as a way to disable heavily armored vehicles without killing the drivers and/or passengers. It saw very little use during the Human-Covenant War, largely due to the weapon's limited mobility, and because of the eventual introduction of the M68 Gauss Cannon.
With an overall length of over six feet, and weighing in at 53.2 kilograms, it was not commonly found in the hands of your average marine. The Trebuchet is a single-shot weapon, and must be reloaded after every round fired. It uses specially designed 28x200mm HEIAP (High Explosive Incendiary/Armor Piercing) rounds that travel at roughly 5200 feet-per-second. These rounds are built specifically to punch straight through thick armor and detonate once inside the intended target. They are capable of taking out something as heavily protected as the Covenant Wraith with just a couple of well-placed shots.
Ingame, the M154 behaves much like the detachable turrets, and must be picked up and carried around by the player in a third-person view. Unlike the turrets, however, the player moves close to normal speed (only a 10% loss), and can preform a slow but decently powerful melee. However, the player cannot fire.
By holding the reload button, the player can deploy the weapon, crouching down and taking aim, ready to fire. The player will remain in third-person view. While deployed the player is immobile, and cannot aim full 360.
By holding the reload button whilst deployed, the player will get back up and can move once more.
The weapon is laser-accurate, and will kill your common player in a single shot, regardless of where you hit them. Smaller vehicles like the Mongoose or Ghost will also be taken out in just a single shot. Medium-sized vehicles like the Warthogs and Revenants/Prowlers require the shooter to aim for a specific weak zone (ie the engine block) in order for it to be a one-hit-kill. Large vehicles like Scorpions and Wraiths will take three shots to kill if you only aim for the front. If you aim for the sides or the back it will only take two shots. Like the medium vehicles, however, if you hit a very specific spot on the vehicles (such as the vent on the back of the Wraith, or the cockpit on the Scorpion), it will be a one-hit-kill.
The Trebuchet has a forgiving but still lengthy reload time, requiring 3.5 seconds to complete. As mentioned, you need to reload after every shot fired. The weapon spawns with 5 rounds, including the one already in the barrel, but can hold a maximum of 8 rounds. There is no reload button for the Trebuchet, rather the ingame player automatically reloads after every shot, which can be cancelled by un-delploying. Think of it as more of a very fancy firing animation than an actual reload.
With the long reload times and limited ammo in consideration, it is highly advised to use it strictly as an anti-vehicle weapon. Users should treat it like a sniper rifle. Move to a different location after each kill. The weapon makes an extremely loud crackle when fired, and has a very large muzzle flash. On top of that, bullets fired leave a vapor trail similar to the ones from the Halo 1 & 2 era sniper rifles.
Even with this in mind, it is NOT a sniper weapon, and using it for sniping targets from a great distance is ill-advised.
The M154 is only found on very large, vehicle-based maps such as Sandtrap or Hemorrhage.
Ingame, the Trebuchet M154 Special Applications Rifle/Anti-Material is simply referred to as, "Trebuchet".
In terms of appearance, the M154 is similar to the PGM Hecate II Sniper Rifle (minus the scope).
M44E Light Combat Shotgun
The M44E is a small, hand-held shotgun, similar in size to the SMG. It was used by police and riot control in the beginning months of the Human-Covenant War. It has been used widely in civilian-heavy areas, rarely seeing the front lines.
The M44E is a 6 gauge, semi-automatic shotgun, that sacrifices stopping power in favor of accuracy and control. It uses a magazine-fed system, and can hold up to 6 rounds, including the one in the barrel. Unlike the M90, it can cause damage to targets at medium-range (though this is ill-advised). Furthermore, because of its compact design, it can be dual-wielded.
Basically, think of it as a UNSC version of the Mauler.
The M44E has very little recoil, is quite accurate, and has a fast-enough rate of fire that it poses a serious threat to those in close quarters. While it won't beat the M90 in a one-on-one gunfight, it can still hold its own.
The rate of fire is slightly faster than that of the Mauler's, and its reload time is about the same. When dual-wielding, the RoF slows, as does the reload time. Additionally, the player will suffer a large view kick when firing two M44E's at the same time.
With little stopping power, it would take around 3 dead-on shots to kill another player at close range, requiring the full 6 to kill someone at medium range.
As mentioned, each magazine holds 6 rounds. The M44E can hold a maximum of 24 shots (3 extra magazines-worth).
The rate of fire is a bit hard to explain. Think: faster than the Mauler, but slower than the Halo 3 Magnum. When dual-wielding, the RoF is equal to that of the single Mauler.
In terms of availability, it's about as common as the M90, and is most often found on smaller maps.
As mentioned, it isn't as strong as the M90 in close quarters, but still has its place. Think of it as the shotgun version of the Assault Rifle, with the M90 being the shotgun version of the Battle Rifle (if this makes any sense). The M44E is a good weapon to start out with, but you should really use it to build up to getting your hands on an M90.
Ingame, the M44E Light Combat Shotgun is simply referred to as, "Light Shotgun".
In terms of appearance, the M44E is somewhat similar to the Techno Arms MAG-7.
That's about it for now. I've got literally countless more ideas for potential weapons, but as you've seen here, I can only give so many.
