Subject: Working at Bungie

I do not think so. I'm not sure, though.

I find that despite companies saying you need "3 to 4 years Industry Experience" if you are talented enough you'll get a call back. I suggest read up on setting such a portfolio up for this type of scenario (I.E Games Industry) and go from there.

You should look for other contract work first, I suggest. Most companies wouldn't hire a concept artist for the remainder of the production pipeline.

I think being a freelancer counts as Industry experience. Does it not?

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

If you have published work, then being a freelancer would land you credit.

"So shines a good deed, in a weary world..."

I have done freelance for Libraries and Universities and those sculptures are in the public eye. The private commissions are not however... but when you say "published" I'm not exactly sure if that is what you meant...

This might strike your fancy. I worked with NECA roughing out their Ticker figure for Gears of War, though I'm not credited... Also, my work was featured in some neat places for example...

This is one of 6 rifle rests I sculpted... the "lobster" part! :D

Video no works for me for some reason. I'm sure they're really good though. You're other work can probably speak for the quality of those rifles. You seriously should put together a portfolio (3D and 2D art alike, both of yours are REALLY good).

Wow, your work is very impressive, but if you really want to try for a position then you might want to compile your work(add some Halo sculptures as well) and then include them with your resume.

If there is one thing that I think college's need to teach, it is this. Most people get scared away from the experience, but if you can show you know most of the material, you have a very good shot at still competing for the job.

I believe there is also a huge difference between hobby work and full on job work... if someone is paying you to sit there and paint for 8 hours or more a day I tend to think that those pieces are going to always shine... Also, constant critique and being surrounded by creative people who are always happy to give input would really bring out the talent in most... just my opinion.

It is really a great thing to not only have such a talented group of people... but also a company that celebrates and nurtures it!

True. My school teaches this and emphasizes a lot on the fact that a lot of people get jobs straight out of school. This is the case with a lot of Blizzard employees.

I couldn't think of anything creative, so I just wrote this.

I looked at your website and your work is very impressive.

Your sculpting is very neat and it is obvious that you are currently more proficient at it than 2d art.

I would say go for it! You never know what might happen, besides allot of game companies have people do concept sculpts, just look at all the stuff that the guys at Epic Games did with gears.

Obviously you are concerned about your abilities in 2D art. I think that it's just OK. You aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination but you are not really comparable to the stuff that the artists at Bungie put out.

But in the end what is the harm in submitting an application? Make it impressive and show Bungie your serious about your application and you will see results.

Go for it! And good luck.
