What happens when someone spams in an attempt to get you to blacklist them? do you happily oblige, or do you decide to spare them, like r econ did today?

On a related note, i remember sometime back, this guy in zanzibar said that he was going to blacklist himself at a certain time. he did not have whitish text, or any cool title, or anything like that. yet he ended up blacklisted at the stated time. did a moderator get bored at that time and create a new account for the kicks of doing that? if not, how did he do it?

If the guy was blacklisted, it was done by one of the moderators. There's no way that a user can ban himself, and there's no reason for such a feature anyway.

As for your original question, I guess it'd have to depend on the moderator. Recon's just a good guy, so an assassination-by-ninja attempt might not work so well with him. Some moderators, though, would be most likely be happy to fulfill the spammer's request.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

You know, this is a bit off-topic, but I wonder if a moderator has ever created a new account and spammed just so he could go back and blacklist himself with his mod account?

Heh, I have a feeling some of the mods actually have more than one account, no names shall be called out.

Maybe he can't ban himself, but if he gets a mod to ban his account, creates a second account the next day, and waits for the Soul to ban him he can accurately predict when he will be banned.

Not hatred, just annoyed people. Not many people annoy me anymore though, just a few, the rest are dead.

lol, I know I would.. I would start a flame war between me and some guy, than I would ban him, and I would look all powerful etc...

But some mods do annoy the crap out of me. I wont name any names, mabye later, but yea some are just cyber living jerks who act all powerful here, but in reality they are 5' tall, have huge zits, and are the weakest living creatures on the planet.

...and why does everyone hate Toast?
