You people are acting like Psychic powers are foreign to Halo. Did none of the things Gravemind ever did not strike you as odd? interstellar telepathy, controlling the teleporter network with his mind? Minor stuff, yes, but no less indicative of mind powers.

I personally don't believe it to be Halo 4, but still.

It's one thing to use telepathy, it's another thing entirely to rip someone through a door with physic powers.

And its one thing for a gravemind to do it. But a human doing them?

True, and as I said, its probably RvB; they only use Halo 3 character models in animation and this video fits the bill. But in the case of telekenisis in Halo 4, if it does happen somehow, if they down play it and make it a rarity--theoretically, say the Primordial is the villain and in order to show the vast power he wields he destroys a tank or something with his mind--but don't make it an every other frame occurence, then I'd be willing to accept the existence of superpowers in Halo. I prefer villains that have astonishing power, but the usage of said power is always in very important and far between situations; Subtlety, so its not overblown and becomes boring (and stupid).

This is of course assuming psychic powers are in Halo 4.

Then yeah, keep it to the Primoridal. I don't need Chief using force push and making him even more of a god than he doesn't deserve to be.

The thing about telepathy is that it can be somewhat rooted in some form of reality through technology. Futurists, Michio Kaku being the most prominent at this time, have said that by combining our minds with technology we could achieve something like the Forerunner's domain, and "telepathy" through the use of this technology.

Using technology (Superconductors to be exact) it may even be possile to move things with your mind where superconducting plates exist. (Assuming that you can communicate with those systems) However it would only work where there are superconductors that you can control. If there are explanations like these, then I will be somewhat more accepting of it, but otherwise picking things up with your untampered mind and changing the state of solid matter on a whim is just pure fantasy.

Worked pretty well in Bioshock, and Bioshock is one of my favorite video games (not to be confused with Bioshock 2, worst sequel ever made).

Could get used to this, as long as they remain true to the formula.

Such a biased state of mind. We have no idea how he got those powers, so we don't know if it's ridiculous or not. Just goes to show how you constantly jump to conclusions.

And who says that the powers are psychic? Maybe it's just the type of super-advanced technology of the Forerunners.
Think about how Spartan armor works. They think certain things, and it happens. Couple that with some kind of mobile tech that vibrates, bends, does whatever to the molecules, cells, all of that, allowing for solid objects to pass through each other?

Considering Halo has been relatively grounded in realistic sci-fi, with obvious exceptions like the Forerunner Crystal's time altering properties and the Gravemind's telepathy.

Suddenly pulling people out of walls with magic is NOT Halo. That is about as far from Halo as you can get before bordering on Star Wars of Mass Effect. All good franchises, but distinct for a reason.

You may whine about me being negative, but you are just as bad for blindly embracing everything.

You're an idiot. a hateful, pessimistic idiot who, whenever you don't get your way, automatically labels the developers as unoriginal, lazy, and untrustworthy tools.

Cowboy up

I'd remain open minded to this because 343i is going to remain true to the fan base and still present something fresh. If a potential pre-cursor esque type of enemy presents itself with psychic powers then I say why not? As long as it doesn't kill gameplay then I could see that as a worthy new villian to be stopped by the chief. I think its a gamble but it has a potential pay off.

Just because the armor requires great amounts of dexterity, flexibility, and strength to use doesn't mean you get Force powers.

Love the insults to, so much for keeping the high ground eh?

I'm talking about things like the Jetpack, call-signs, etc. Activation of the advanced tech that are in debate probably work the same way.

Love the insults to, so much for keeping the high ground eh?

I smell a hypocrite. Two wrongs don't make a right, but the way you're asserting your points of view is downright annoying and may I say, "facepalm worthy". Consider those part of my arguments whichever way you want, because it doesn't matter.

Also, I doubt this is even something from a 343 game seeing as how the environment looks suspiciously like that from Halo 3: ODST's level Data Hive.

It may be something similar to the Precursors Tier 0 technology level, who knows, they could accelerate evolution of intelligent life, so it's possible they could deny the laws of physics and pull people through walls, and it's only a video game.
