We don't know the full extent of a Graveminds powers because we have never seen a fully formed one. Also I would like to know where you got confirmation on the prisoner definitely being the last precursor and part of the flood.

Couldn't really be anybody else.

It is far too early to assert.

Not really, the evidence is simply too overwhelming.

We should know better, because we are better.

There sort of is an explanation for the Force: it's caused by midiclorians.

Btw, those information on Prisoner came from Cryptum. Read it sometime.

There is evidence showing that he is indeed a Precursor, as Timeless One.

I would prefer to agree to disagree until all the evidence has been released on the matter of the prisoners lineage and role. But on the matter of telekinetic/telepathic powers having a place in the Halo universe, I believe it to be perfectly fitting with a philosophy we get very brief glimpses of in the story that would suggest a connection between sentient minds and the universe(similar to a philosophy held by the ancients in stargate).

Now Halo is starting to border on fantasy sci-fi going that route.

I hope Ruby, you aren't one of the people talking about how the new trilogy had to have the UNSC because if not it 'wouldn't be halo.'

Oh, so now since you can't return the argument you're taking shots at me for something completely irrelevant?
If it wasn't a continuation of Chief's story in the form of a game, or had the title "Halo 4", then I wouldn't mind. But it's a sequel to Halo 3. And you know what? Sequels are consistent. To just drop all of the details from the past installment would only cause for negative feedback and general confusion.
I am not responding to anyone who quotes this, so to not derail the thread.

You really love to round the argument about, don't you? You're reiterating your first statement because you're unable to come up with a decent response to the one at hand.
It's called keeping the series fresh with new concepts. Don't like it? Then leave because nobody will miss somebody who can't accept new ideas, or at the very least, waits until the game is out before beginning to blindly bash it.

My, my... Cobra. Seems he is getting desperate on this, don't you think so, cobra?

Uh-oh, here comes one of his gang members. I'm scared now.
I don't understand what would make you say that, but okay. Desperate? Mmm... I don't think so.

I love how you guys keep on ignoring the explanation I'm giving in favor of either restarting the conversation, hoping I "slip up", or just insulting me. Great debate, guys.

And when I'm quoted, you always focus on one statement, but not the other. So in order for you make a pathway/loophole in my logic, you need to leave out important statements which support my argument? Debating with you is like debating with a stubborn five-year old child.

You ever notice how I'm always saying "I've said all I need to say, so I'm leaving. Saying anything else, I'd be repeating myself". Yes, that's why. You refuse to respond or even acknowledge what I'm saying, because you can't. So to cover it up, you click the "resart mission" button to the conversation.

Well, turning metal to liquid and using Force choke will only propel it to fantasy.

I just Noticed that the soldiers in the video are wearing halo 3 armor not reach armor which is weird...

Regression in terms of armor?

Yet no faction in the Halo Universe has such technology or power.

It never mentioned that any faction had such power. So it wouldn't be exactly Halo if they introduced the "fantasy" to mostly realistic SCI-FI.

But we have seen very little of any of the factions technological capabilities. We don't really know what the covenant can do outside of combat and we know even less of the Forerunners.

Sorry guys about the format errors. I am not that familiar with posting in forums.

Not true we don't know what technologies the forerunners had except for the covenants technologies which where deprived from mining technologies

If the Forerunners, or even the Covies, had such power, how did they both lose against their respective foes?

If I recalled, Covenant does not possess such power as Forerunners as well. Cryptum described more about Forerunner capabilities but it never mentioned about it. It's unlikely that Primordium will reveal such thing.

I don't know, but technology doesn't always win you the battle.

Forerunners lost because their foe did not stop, did not care and with each victim it consumed it knew everything that the victim had know so the flood used forerunners technologies against them while also getting smarter with each world it consumed.

But at what cost does such mystery do? Break the universe?

  • 08.30.2011 6:23 PM PDT

Maybe not the universe but definitely a few walls.

If it's avoidable to break said walls, there is no point including it.
