smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

But probably not. Unless the damage turns out to be catastrophic.

On the playground is where I spent most of my days.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Are the bungie members hurricans... or hurricants?

  • 08.27.2011 9:20 PM PDT

So far the storm and the earthquake weren't really anything. I mean, I live in New York, and I haven't been hit full on yet, but I don't imagine causing catastrophic damage.

However if it does cause big damage, then I can imagine Bungie doing something about it. Cause I mean I have heard of some unfortunate deaths so far, but nothing like whole neighborhoods ripped apart. And as for the earthquake, the worst of it was a crack on the Washington Monument. Honestly the less known Colorado earthquakes did more damage.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

My lawnchair fell over in the earthquake, I need something to make up for it. The hurricane is apparently hitting us now, or will be shortly.

We will rebuild.

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Also, keep in mind, Bungie didn't do anything for Joplin, MO, when half the city was destroyed, and more people died and lost their homes than will likely be lost in the hurricane.

America is capable of handling our own disasters. We're a massive country with massive resources. Places like Japan and Haiti don't have the resources that we do.

Every natural disaster that happens doesn't require a charity benefit from Bungie.

That is so incredibly insulting to make a bracelet off of the earthquake.

Wasn't that earthquake not too severe? From what heard it did damage but not alot alot. But irene rip through the east. So maybe Bungie could do something.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I retract part of what I said earlier; I decided to catch up on the news since I couldn't sleep. Unless she causes more damage than she is (I thought she grew categories but apparently not), I don't personally feel Bungie should have to contribute to the cause. From what I understand, the damages are relatively minor comparatively speaking.

Earthquake: 5.8
Hurricane: Category 1 Storm

When did the East Coast become such pushovers?
that earthquake really did nothing. But that hurricane is a category 3, so it will screw up new york a little bit. and just because OP and like 3 news anchors are saying it't terrible you stereotype the whole east coast.... interesting logic there.....

  • 08.28.2011 4:45 AM PDT

It's not that bad...if it was Katrina....then maybe

The hurricane is category 1, not 3

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

I think if bungie did a charity thing for anything its the people who are suffering from a famine in Africa right now who need some aid.

Yeah, that earthquake really crippled the East Coast.
Lmfao!

Reminded me of my most recent earthquake experience:

* House shakes around 6 AM
* *Wakes up*
* *looks at clock*
* *curses at the fact that it's only 6 AM* I had my mind set on atleast 10 AM.
* *goes back to sleep*

It was hell, hell I say.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

My building sustained major structural damage.

I'm pretty sure that my insurance will cover it, but I'm willing to buy a bracelet to support less fortunate people.

I'm sure they'll do what's necessary when the full extent of the damages are revealed - Haiti's quake, Japan's tsunami and hurricane Katrina were on an untold scale, and that level of aid was required.

What's happening on the East Coast - to my knowledge, isn't anywhere near as bad as that yet.

I remember when Japan had it's disaster (which mind you was a disaster). Most of the users on Bnet were like "Derp! THEY'RE NO POOR COUNTRY THEY NO NEED HELP THEY CAN HELP THEMSELVES!!!"

Well America, help yourself picking up your knocked over trashcans.

Edit: Also making threads about porches is against the rules.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I am in total agreement with this. I lost power for 10 minutes during the new Dr. Who episode last night. Delmarva power did all they could but I still lost those 10 minutes of my favorite show.

A sack of Bungie crap would ease my pain.

As you all know the east coast has taken on the double duty of being hit by an Earth quake and a Hurricane in the same week. I was wondering if bungie is ready to make some bank for charity off of producing some nifty bracelets and or fun hurri-quake swag bags for us victims? Bungie jumped to the occasion for Katrina and the worlds last two massive quakes... I am hoping that the community will show the good old east coast some love!

I write this post as i sit in the porch watching the storm role on in near the Philadelphia area. Peace and love to my fellow east coasters.
