Subject: Halo 4: What will become of the Master Chief?

Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: Reach

Clearly this new trilogy (confirmed) is fundamentally a tribute to dedicated Halo fans from around the world, but what is the plan for Master Chief? How much farther can this story stretch before Halo Die-Hards dismiss 343i's feeble attempts at a re-visitation of the Master Chief's epic journey for merely a last ditch attempt to earn some money. Whilst the game will feature some awesome new additions to not only weaponry (the new AIM system: Arsenal Improvisation Mechanics that allows for menu-free, creative customization of weapons and vehicles in the heat of combat[1]), and a new diverse vehicle range, will this keep the new campaign afloat?

For me, I think definitely! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been hanging out for the next installment of the Chief's epic journey. Whilst Halo: Reach did introduce not only new game play and an array of excellent new multiplayer game-types and map variants, I missed Master Chief and his skeptical cynicism. The boys at 343i have said that 'We'd have to be the world's biggest a**holes not to follow through," not only affirming the new installment of Halo 4, but also mentioning the Halo movie in passing and that they have done "a lot of preparation for it". [2]

In any case, there's no way to predict what will happen to our beloved Master Chief yet I have a feeling that he will make it through the intimidating challenge of taking on an entire Fore Runner planet, owing mainly to the fact that there is set to be a further 2 more games at least after Halo 4 is released in Winter 2012. Various leak sites and even 343i have hinted at a return of the Flood in this new Halo rendition, rendering the possibility of their final destruction (although i doubt it, they just never die).

Ultimately, the inherent mystery surrounding this new campaign is utterly exciting, having nothing to go on except a peek at both the Chief's initial predicament and the clearly upgraded graphics engine developed by 343i. I will wait until next year, eagerly anticipating the incredible possibilities of the new Halo 4, whilst hoping against hope, they do it justice, avoiding any mishaps or flops in the campaign *cough ODST. I hope that any of you interested in reading this, are like me, in that whilst we remain skeptical surrounding the possibilities of the extension of the greatest console game ever created, that all the same, we do our jobs as Halo fans and anticipate the arrival of the revitalization of Halo once more, affirming its universal superiority and re playability and once more garnering and solidifying its only special place in the heart of all true Halo Fans.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

ODST was awesome. Now you deserve to be locked.
