Now that Bungie's biggest game franchise, Halo, is in the hands of 343 Industries, where to now? Don't get me wrong here, I feel that 343 was the best company for Bungie to leave Halo in the care of. But where do you go from here, Bungie? Will you be going dark for a few years while working on you next big smash hit? Who am I kidding? In a few years, I'll be at E3 and I'll be watching a trailer of a super soldier killing aliens, blowing up tanks, and being an overall badass. And before the trailer ends, I'll say to myself, "Welcome back, old friend." But, until then, I, like all the other Bungie-loyal, will keep enjoying the Halo franchise for what it's worth: a compelling tale, an amazing game, a beautiful world, and an infinite universe. This isn't a question to you Bungie, this is a thank you. Thank you for your 20 years. Thank you for Marathon. Thank you for for an entire decade of a genre of game originally thought impossible, Halo. Thank you for a game that spat in the face of Call of Duty itself. More than all of that, thank you for letting us believe. This isn't The End. This is only the beginning. So, on behalf of the Halo, no, the Bungie community: Thank You, thank you so very much. Even though you're no longer in the credits of Halo, it'll be a cold day in Hell before I forget you. Good-bye, Bungie, now it's our turn to wake you when we need you. See you starside.
