Subject: Halo Waypoint Changes drastically. Will this effect B.net population?

What's happening with regard to the API? Has there been any mention of it moving as well?

Side note: The new forums better have groups.
Achronos has been wanting to update groups for years; I doubt they'll be removed.

They talked about it VERY VAGUELY at the waypoint panel. I'll see if I can find a linky.

Here you go. Go to about 1:50 in. :)

Codeword: Dirtbag.
I make music:
My Soundcloud
My Steam account
My Xbox Live profile

This party's getting crazy! Lets rock.

It seems like they're getting serious about this stuff, hopefully they'll be as vigilant as bungie when it comes to making sure the people are happy about the Halo servers and such.

This. Someone asked about it and they barely answered.

Seeing as membership in both sites/communities is voluntary and not mutually exclusive, I would imagine that the population and involvement for each site will be directly related to the content offered by the hosts and community interaction with itself.

  • 08.28.2011 9:32 AM PDT

Hmm, yeah I could see a possible population loss in this.

None of it really matters because by the time Destiny comes out we'll forget how to spell Halo, let alone what it is and why we should care about it.

What are you, a politician?

That reminds me. The other day Julia Gillard came to my school and we asked her some questions. There were certain parts where she would just go on and on about -blam!- that wasn't even remotely related to the question asked.

That sounded like a "no, we're making our own [insert mobile platform here] app for you to download", which is completely unrelated to an API.

Are you trying to insult me?

The question was, "will changes to the Halo Waypoint site effect the population of this site?"

My answer was, "Since both sites are free-to-visit, free-to-join, and are not mutually exclusive, I don't see how one can effect the other. Both sites and communities will attract their own amount of traffic based on what the sites offer and the communities they develop."

Or did you want a "I am loyal to a url, derp" sort of answer?

No, haha.

I was just making a random off topic comment. :)

They already put the halo reach stats on there site.
Oh, but it will significantly be improved, further than the extent of the current Bungie.net stats.

Yea I no I was just saying that because it seemed like some users didn't no that.

Everytime someone sacks my groceries, I think of Loaf.

From the sounds of it 343 is messing up Halo, so who cares.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

The core , the most Zealotic Bungie fans will stay, and brood, the others, will depart.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

If the layout of the Waypoint forums are similar to B.net´s, I might consider checking the place out and signing up.

But nonetheless, I´ll still come here alot more.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Why do they get Bungie's forum source code.

I was taking a guess. They didn't say they were using Bungie's. They said they were going to use a forum we all know and are going to love.

People will leave B.net, but the people who stay are the people who are worthy to post on such a fourm

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

This seems as an opportunity to cut some fat from this community, although I don't see it migrating that much players ultimately.

Sorry, I had to.

Anyway, I don't mind if the population drops, as long as the regulars stay.
