I was playing Halo Reach just fine the other day. Then this morning I turn on the game and the game acts like it's the first time I start playing. I check everything and I find my armor resets to default, along with my serial tag and all my campaign completions (coop and singleplayer) on legendary are deleted. I am very distraught by this. Not just losing the game data, but fearing that I nearly lost my rank and points (which thankfully I did not).
I realize it may not be possible too really recover what was lost, I'll have to rebuild the campaign stuff I guess.
BUT I WOULD LIKE TOO KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED!?
Seriously, if this happened to my campaign, what if it happens to my rank character? If it does I'm giving up on the Halo franchise, seriously. I spent too many man hours playing this game just too start over from scratch. Trying to get all the cool armor sets is fun but NOT when i have to redo it again.
I can only guess how it happened. One instance I was in a match make game and something occurred that required me too leave so I just turned off my xbox from the power button without leaving the game first. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. But I mention it as a possibility.
If anyone has dealt with this problem before Please let me know and share how I can avoid this in the future, thank you.
EDIT:
Something else that occurred to me. I was playing the challenge yesterday, to play Winter Contingency on Legendary without dying. But I died. So i exited the game and turned off the xbox like normal (from the controller). Could that Daily Challenge have been a result?
