Subject: What Attributes Maketh a Good Moderator?

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

I've been reading a lot of 'old world' books recently so apologies for the 'eth'

The Ninjas we have here at Bungie, are in my opinion (although it is important to note i havn't had many run-ins with them) some of the best out there, they are quick to answer questions, are fun, full participating members of the community, and - most importantly - share the same zeal for Bungie as most of us do.

But what specifically about them makes them good ninjas, is it that they where well known prior to being elevated to Ninja status? Where they perceived to be trustworthy at the time they where chosen, basically, what is that golden attribute that makes a good Ninja?

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

They are trusted, always helpful, have great knowledge of the English language and the forum rules, but above all what sets them apart is that they are unbiased.

They keep emotion out of almost every situation here, and use logic and reasoning. (Helpful link.)

Official: Forum Ninjas are selected by Bungie and the current Forum Ninjas on a number of characteristics such as community involvement, length of time on Bungie.net, knowledge of Bungie and Bungie games, knowledge of and adherence to forum rules, exercise of good judgment on the forums, and should have extensive knowledge of the English language along with proper grammar.

In general, users who are considered for a Forum Ninja position have anywhere between several months and many years of experience and activity on Bungie.net.

If candidates meet these requirements, they may be potential Forum Ninja material and are abducted, sealed in a black room, beaten with a wet noodle and finally starved for seven days until they are released back into the world naked and confused or find themselves chained to a computer desk in Bungie's mop closet.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

I think one thing that makes a good moderator is being impartial.

Not treating someone differently because you know them personally or are friends with them.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Someone who knows their way in and out of B.net.

Be able to hold your liquor.
That eliminates about 80-85% of the community.

OT: Mainly just knowledge of the rules and English language.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

You have to have a slightly strange username, a knowledge of bungie so vast and deep that others call you sad for it, and the ability to pretend you are sort of funny, when you are...you really are not funny....recon*
