I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.
I tweet?
You sit inside a cubicle, plugging away for 8 or more hours a day. Visine just within reach inside your top draw just in case the multi-monitor display once again starts roasting your retinas, a bottle of Pepto in the bottom draw for those days where the Chinese food you had for lunch just doesn't sit just right.
It's not all work though, there's always casual conversations going on. Maybe an office game or two, breaks are spent playing foosball, air hockey, some various arcade cabinet, or something.
Then if you aren't making a push to finish something on the very detailed and specific schedule everyone was sent in their Outlook inbox and that you have pinned to your cubicle wall, you get to go home. There you relax, be it with your family, a friend, maybe alone. However work is never pushed too far from your mind, always tugging at you. You like to think you don't bring your work home with you, but you know that's bull. You're always thinking of tomorrow and what you can improve on, it's just how it goes.
Then tomorrow comes... and it's as if someone accidentally left it on "repeat".
