Subject: So, what is it REALLY like working at Bungie?

"Living to smile, and not to succeed; smiling to inspire happiness, not to give the illusion you are happy; creativity and music to inspire smiling, which in turn inspires happiness; being nice to be happy, not for being perceived a good person."

I imagine getting naked and dancing on the tables is a fairly common occurrence.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Sounds like a nice set up, I have some selective reading that may compliment it. I always keep a copy stuffed between office manuals.

Sitting in a cubicle isn't so bad, provided your boss isn't a douche.

Mine, however, took offense to the little pirate flag I had sticking up over my cubicle and forced me to take it down with threats of yet another visit to HR. =/

Didn't like my "Art of War" daily calender, either.

Intimidating. We've got so many talented people doing different things that, for me at least, it's a constant challenge. I look at what the designers/artists/engineers/etc. are doing every day and feel the pressure to step up my game. :)

Motivation is a great thing.

Ah, a little competition/motivation keeps the flow going.

You sit inside a cubicle

What's a cubicle? It sounds uncomfortable.

Cubicles counteract Bungie's creativity. Plus, why would they want to conquer the world if they werent concerned about limited space?

Metal breakfast.

I imagine the atmosphere once a game is finished is amazing. Everybody gets to enjoy the fruit of their labor and talk smack at the same time.

I can only imagine that feeling after you're game has shipped and it's time to relax.

Then the stress of finding a game breaking bug or all the complaining 5 year olds begins

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

I can imagine their casual Fridays...

It might be something along the lines of this.

I <3 you too Bungie

The real question is what it's like being married and working at Bungie. I could imagine the person in the marriage not working at Bungie starts to dislike all of the time/effort/strain that Bungie emanates.

It's probably very dog-eat-dog with so many competitive intellects all trying to make something new and global. I would imagine that you would have to be on your toes constantly; my toes are probably too stubby to make it. :(

*reminisces when the Bungie/Halo community wasn't made up of CoD kids*
*sighs*

glory days here I come..

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

Bungie's biggest critics are themselves. They make games that they would want to play, not (just) what others want.

This philosophy is what made the Halo games great. They strive to impress themselves, and not 100% cave into the fan base. Sure the fan base HAS modeled some of the maps and game play based on feedback, but it all came back to the internal opinions of the employee. Family, actually.
