Subject: What stat is the best measure of Halo Ability?

As I approach a milestone that's important to me, I'm wondering what you all think.

I am close to having a kills to deaths ratio of 2 to 1. While I never see any other player with k2d stats this steep, I DONT think I am particularly good at HALO. Maybe I'm ok. The majority of the time I play big team battle, and I focus exclusively on positioning myself to kill and not die. I dont go after the flag, I dont drive other players in vehicles, I almost dont even care about the win as much as personal K2D.

When I play team slayer and rumble pit I'm not nearly as good, although still in the positive on Kills to Deaths.

So, what one stat would you look at in terms of evaluating a players ability. Why?

Thanks in advance.

I THINK that what you are TRYING to say is THAT you don't KNOW what to TRY to GET better at WHEN you're playing in HALO.

But, all-in-all, teamwork is what I figure is the best skill a lot of people need to improve on. All anyone does on teams anymore is just betray, yoink, and go off into the middle of firefights and try to play lone wolf. The reason that's probably why you don't go for the flag is because you know you won't have teammates to truly back you up, and you don't drive because you figure the gunner is just going to be AFK on you.

Basically, here's what everyone on Halo should do:

Don't yoink,
Don't play lone wolf when you're on a team,
Don't be a whiney -blam!- when you don't get what you want (snipers, tanks, etc.),
PREVENT assasinations on your team (AKA Showstoppers, they help a whole lot to your team in the long run),
DON'T be a loser and try to keep killing your team because you know you suck to much to get kills on the other team, because evidently, you're going to run into teammates that are a hella lot better than you and don't take kindly to sucky morons,
Don't boot players when you know their betrayal was an accident,
Don't TK when you get yoinked,
Don't spend your time tea-bagging so you can give the opposing team the opportunity they need to kill you,
Don't get cocky and think you're safe in bubble shields,
Don't think you'll get free kills if you stay AFK until/if the enemy comes over to you, thinking you're really AFK,
AND DON'T BE A TROLL.

I don't think you can judge a player by anything other than watching his gameplay. His combat skills and how he helps the team should be taken into account

Finding the love of my life, and moving house really screwed up my gaming orientated lifestyle.

I don't think there is one, single statistic that relates to the skill of a player. Assists, kills (not so much for players that play objective gametypes), wins, etc all relate to the skill of a player.

I know I have a lot of fun when my team isn't full of -blam!-s.

Whats up with Spartans calling Elites Dinosaurs? I mean Spartans are the ones almost extinct! XD

By how selfishly they play. Being a lone wolf is easy but taking one for the team is skillful.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I don't know, but it's definitely not K/D. That doesn't mean anything.

You are the best judge of yourself. There's no number or rank that can say otherwise. It's up to you to realize your getting beat up by people that are clearly better than you. If you cause your team to lose by going negative in EVERY game you play, your probably trash...
