Who ever said bnet was soing bad.is still think were doing better then other game dev sites

^I didn't tell anyone it was going bad. I said its popularity wasn't as good as it used to be.

^The popularity before 343i took over was probably better than it used to be. But once 343i took over, more and more people left and went/moved on to the 343i forums, (which suck, by the way) which was probably 1/4 of the population of Bungie.net.

So the popularity didn't exactly lose popularity, the population just went down a little bit?...

The popularity did lose popularity (that phrase hurts my brain). If we lose 25% of our members, thats a lot of -blam!-ing members.

That means (according to the member count on bungie.me) we used to have around 5100 active members. If we lost 25% that means we lost ~1,275 members. Is that not a lot? That means we now have 3,825 members (at least 25% of which are probably not active) compared to our former 5100 (accounts aren't deleted now due to inactivity. But yeah, the lost of 1,275 members out of 5100 is pretty significant.

I did. You were implying the loss was not significant enough to affect BNet's popularity. I said it did.

@CrazzySnipe55, The popularity just went down by aroudn 25%, right?

I said that there are more and more people joining the Bungie.net Community/Halo Community more and more, right?

So think about this?

The Community goes up in the beginning of the year and keeps on implying more and more. Just recently 343i takes over and around 25% of the Community leaves and goes/moves on to the 343i Forums.

The Community was already popular as Hell, and went up. We lose 25%. But since then there are of course more and more users that are joining the Community.

So the Community has gone back up to its original state, right?...

So not that you do not make any sense, but what you are stating is all in the fact of mind?...

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I wish they wouldn't release the new game. I like the lulls in between games more than the highs that follow them.

"quality > quantity"

^That is not always the best way to go?...

From a large quantity of people comes more brain power which simulates ideas and other stuff. Though there would be a higher amount of trolling, dumb posts, the extra few brains could help a lot if noticed.

^But that still gives this site more and more popularity, though?...

EVERY SINGLE WEBSITE will have people who troll/sapm. But these trolls don't go to any website, though? They go to some of the most popular websites?...

Popularity = good.

More popularity = more trolls

Not at a rate fast enough to be considered a significant gain of popularity.

It's popular with me, and if it stays at the status with the other users, that's all that matters.

^I will again say this, think of all of the people who have just now started to play Halo and join the/this Community?

Let's start at Default before Halo: Reach came out?

The popularity is at 100%.
Halo: Reach comes out. +25% of users join the Communtiy.
Since then another 25%.
Now at 150%, we lose -25%.
Now at 125%, we have gained another 5%.

The total is now at 130%, bro?...

This.

Honestly, I prefer it when B.net is like this because at least the people that are here are here for Bungie, rather than for Halo.

Besides, once you start filtering through the dirt, some real gems start popping up.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

Ignorance is the true enemy of all things.

Rocking Bungie.net for over 8 years!

TBH, I don't care so much about having hundreds or thousands of faceless posters that I know nothing about flooding the forums. If there is still enough activity to get regular answers and discussion on topics, it's all good by me. The quality of the discussion is more important than the quantity to me: B.net has always been too fast for me to read everything anyway.

As a side note: some of my favourite communites are comprised of only a few dozen people or less.
