This isn't for cheating or anything, but does anyone happen to know the algorithm for how Bungie sets up match making games? I'm a Colonel with a career kill/death spread of +1700. I keep getting paired up with warrant officers who have k/d spreads in the -1000s and always going up against people my rank with better k/d spreads.
Is it win/loss ratios? How well one did in the prior match? I'm not complaining, I promise I'm not, but I would like to know the algorithm so at least I can see where they're coming from. I'm a beginning programmer and this stuff kind of interests me, as it doesn't happen often in other first person shooters I play. For instance, Homefront goes by k/d spread from the prior game mixed with lifetime stats for the particular map someone is about to play (so you don't get teamed up with people who suck at a small map after being really good at a big map).
