Riverside23: For all the women of the group, if you've got a real man at least let him have his big piece of chicken.

WhtButterflyLiz: lol. Bring home bigger chikkinz, then, real man!!!

DEATHPIMP72: *throws pterodactyl on table*
Suck it JoeSki!!!

All they've ever said is that Kinect will supplement core gameplay. You won't have to use it. That's not bad at all.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I don't believe that motion capture tech will take off as the primary control scheme in Class A games. The processing speed just isn't there (which isn't a technology issue, just a money one. The Kinect had incredible motion and joint tracking ability in it's early days, but they took out some processing capabilities because of end user cost).

I do, however, think that the Kinect, or motion capture in general, can be used in conjunction with standard controller use. Besides of the obvious implications of voice capture (Clancy's End Game was always fun), motion capture could be used to issue basic commands, both to NPCs or real players, through hand gestuers: palm up to issue a hold command, point forward for move, etc, etc.

Of course, I'm just thinking in FPS terms. If it was an RPG or a type of game with heavy menu use, perhaps it would be nice to allow players to set up short cut "zones," eight directions they could point with a closed fist to access preset menus or actions, where they open the hand to select it. It'd be much like joystick menu selection, where you rotate the stick to the point you want and press A once you are upon it (Mass Effect style, so to speak)

There is a future in implementing more control beyond buttons and sticks. (That's what she said). The less thinking a player has to do and the more actions he can perform, especially if those start involving his whole body, the more immersion s/he can experience, and I'm a HUGE fan of game immersion.

common sense is so uncommon its scary...

If they do come up with a clever/silly way of using the kinect as an optional addition i hope it stays in single player modes.

Lol, "Halo Dance Revolution"

I would love to see you use a dance pad with Halo's Gothic (not the emo Gothic) style music.
