Ok this is gonna sound rediculous, but it's an issue I'm sure everyone is familiar with by now.

I actually forgot what the "If They Came To Hear Me Beg" Achievement was for a long time and this morning on Co-Op Campaign I actually did it, but it wasn't from a fatal fall... it was near the two AA guns in The Package, nowhere near a high vantage point, with less than 35% health and the prone, "piggyback" assassination!

It was a face-off between myself and an Elite Captain when one of my team took down his shields, allowing me to sprint towards him once he turned around and trigger the assassination. This would suggest that the achievement itself hasn't shipped with the game properly and, in fact, can be done in a variety of ways.

I like Halo...

You just have too try lots of times.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Perhaps just a glitch? Too hard to say what happened without more information, especially a video.

Sadly I don't have one; the Theatre only keeps the most-recent video captured during Matchmaking unless you save it afterwards in your File Share. If I had been aware of that beforehand I definitely would've made one, as I think the limited advantage it gave me was hilarious.

All I can say is it wasn't the result of hacking (at least not by me). To my knowledge it was a normal matchmaking game and no modding was used - I don't condone or perform any cheating...

I suspect the real reason it just doesn't work right is the same as why the "Banshees, Fast and Low" and a couple of other achievements have similar gameplay problems. The Reach engine was an experimental prototype for Bungie to make Forge standalone and facilitate their next universe, though they chose to also use it to close out their connections with Halo. Any glitches seen in the current build will probably have vanished by their next project.

It's not camping, it's holding the designated location.

If you had low health maybe you hit something, but the assassination saved you (it happened to Evil Otto, but he died), and personally, I hate this achievement because I spent over an hour trying to get it and then survived by assassinating a grunt and then I found out it had to be an Elite.

So basically the achievement doesn't even need you to be flying through the air; as long as you are within a certain health threshold where an Elite can kill you in a single melee, your'e fine?
