This is to inform people of various common sayings when playing Halo online:

Sayings:
gg = good game
gj = good job
ns = nice shot
wtf = what the fudge (fudge is a substitution)
lmao = laughing my butt off (butt is a substitution)
brb = be right back
c ya = see you later
ty = thank you
stfu = shut the fudge up (fudge is a substitution)

When to use them:
gg = at end of game
gj = when someone turns in the flag or does something beyond the call of duty
ns = single shot kills and no scopes
wtf = when someone does a teamkill on you or somebody pissed you off
lmao = when something really funny happens or someone says something funny
brb = when you need to leave the game for a second
c ya = when you are leaving
ty = when you need to thank someone
stfu = when you need to tell someone to shut up

Common directions:
[base] = (in CTF) someone on your team is telling you that an enemy is attacking the flag
stick it to the man = land a plasma grenade on him (I made that one up)

Abbreviations:
ar = assault rifle
rl = rocket launcher
sr = sniper rifle
shee = short for "banshee"
hog = short for "warthog"

I posted this thread because I'm sick of people in games that ask what these things are. I know I have asked the same question a couple of times, but I figure that it would help any new people or people who just didn't know.

Additions:
inc = incoming; when a 'hog or something is attacking
rhog = rocket hog
TKer = team killer; a person who kills his own teammates (usually an idiot)
np = no problem
gtg = got to go; when you are leaving
afk = away from keyboard
omg = oh my god
rofl = rolling on the floor laughing

n1 = nice one
nn = nice nade

inc = incoming
e = enemy
rhog = rocket hog
chog = chainhog

(ex: e rhog inc bridge)

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them right now.

kw= "Do you want to play a klanwars.com match?"
os= overshield
telly= teleporter
wth= what the hell

I'm also going to post a couple guidelines for noobs about what exactly a dedicated server implies, as soon as I get around to it.

who says you have to be an ace to have fun?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

A TKer is basically a Halo online scumbag.
It is a person who kills his/her own teammates.

Oh, so that's the difference between ns nn and n1... I just use ns every time...

Here are some more:
gtg - Got to go
afk - Away from keyboard (so technically, not playing but their character is standing there)
omg - Oh my goodness/God.

I'll edit some more in as soon as I remember them!

LOL- laugh(ing) out loud.
ROFL- rolling on floor laughing.
1111- commonly in "leet" speak, someone forgot to press shift when using exclamation points.
This leads me to ask: what does "leet" and its words mean? Examples: haxorz, roxorz, liek (like?), "leet."

ZOMG! - Zounds! Och, Mein gott!
!!!!11one1!! - (derivatives used as sarcastic exclamation)
Jump manouver - while in a fight on high ground, strafing and jumping over the edge of the cliff for no real reason, usually immediately after killing the opponent
BS - bull excreta - used when someone erroneously believes that that last shot shouldn't have hit. Used frequently with players who think they are good. But aren't.

Usage:

BS! u r a cheating noob

ZOMG!!!11one! The FRG user is killed by a haxxing pistol user after only making 2 camping kills! Must be a real noob to do that... Pity bout the jump manouver afterwards. :p
