So, if I were a new user, under that logic I could spam shock links around the Flood - and get let off? Then do it again and only get warned?

But after that if I turned over a new leaf and accidentally posted a thread in the wrong forum I'd get banned?

Failing your test equates to not being able to drive for a period of time. Which is in essence the same as receiving a ban from the forums.

-K-

^Okay. I picture it this way: [When you break the rules...]

1rst time you break the rules = let off.
2nd time you break the rules = Warning.
3rd time you break the rules = 3-day ban.

No. Break the rules and your lucky if you get off with a warning. Break the rules once, to any degree, and you have the chance of being banned.

^Not trying to be rude or anything. But you would be a terrible Moderator.
No need to judge who would or wouldn't make a good moderator lads. All he's saying is the rules should be enforced more heavily, which is equally as correct as saying they could have some more room.

^My point was, was that it would depend on the rule broken.

I have been here for quite a long time. I accidently posted in the wrong forums and was banned without a warning.

It all depends on the Moderator himself?

I disagree; I think Crazzy would probably do okay.

What you want, blade, is a series of light slaps on the wrist in lieu of any kind of real punishment. Call me cynical, but I don't think most people learn from simple warnings.

Hell, we have a large chunk of the community who refuse to learn from two-week bans.

A warning is actually a three day ban (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong). So it may have just been that - but I don't know the specifics of your situation.
But yes, there is a relatively wide margin of change in your punishment depending on the Ninja in question.

I have read the Forum Rules mutliple times just to be sure? But hey? We are all human, right?

That's how most of the moderators on this site work... Are they all terrible moderators?

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

No. You can be issued a formal slap on the wrist with no real consequences other than it's harder for you to earn a new title now.

^I am a little questionable of why you keep stating that it is/will be harder for me to earn a title?

Sure, it would be great to have one!, but right now, I am just slowly working my way up-to one.

When I get in a heated debate like this, I usually try to stand up for what I belive in, but are usually knocked off for it!

I wasn't talking to you. Warnings are a device, usable by Ninjas, in the system to that A) Let's you know you've done wrong and any future infractions of a similar kind will likely result in a ban and B)Reduces your trust rating and makes it harder for you to get a new title or "rank up" as some people say. I was stating a fact that wasn't directed at you.

^Your statement makes more sense than any of our's here.

I try to catch myself knocking off people for that, and try not to.

But I have just recently stopped being an -blam!- about it.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

It is dependent on which forum the newbie is entering. I find that a newbie will find much more help entering the Community, or Bungie Universe forum. But with the Halo 3, Reach, and The Flood forums, a newbie is likely to recieve a hostile and/or reception.

"Spartans never die, they're just missing in action." So you're telling me that after you get shot in the head, blow up a ship while inside, get stabbed by an Energy Sword, and drive a Pelican into a Scarab and clearly blow up that; you're not dead, but just 'Missing in Action'?

It may be kind of irrelevent, but some of the rules are kind of stupid.

When I first made my account, I read the rules. When I read them, I decided not to post so that I would not make a mistake and get banned for it.

One stupid rule is that when my main account got banned, I signed-nto this one and was auto-banned for it.

2-days later, (my other account was still banned) I signed-into this one again to see if the ban was over, but to find that I was auto-banned again!...-_-

^Same here.

Many of the rules are pointless, and stupid.

But some of them are useful, and I am gald that they are rules!

Think of it from another perspective - you post shock links on the Flood and get banned, so make an alternate account to carry on.
It's a sensible rule.
