Subject: Do Ninjas ever ban for fun?

Posted by: Old Papa Rich
Nice idea. Let's pick some random people in this thread and see if it is "fun?"

This is the real reason for all of my bans.

Swag punks, fuck off!

I don't think thats what a ninja would do, but it could happen.

"My arrows will be drunk with blood and my sword shall devour flesh."

Who can I contact about a potential false-positive ban? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My situation deserves research. I'm sure 'they all say that' but seriously. No one in my party smack talks, we don't even use communication. I let my 8 yr old neighbor play who did not idle but honestly tried playing (for the 1st time) but yielded 0 kills for like 3 games. All of a sudden he, my 7 yr old son & me, the host get a pop up & I freaked out bc I've been banned twice for idling while getting the kids ready & learned NOT to join a game if I cannot finish it bc the banhammer drops like MJOLNIR! Anyway I am very upset. My 7 yr old boy & I are very positive team players & not smack talkers who have bonded more playing Halo than any other activity. I am seriously considering hanging up my controller bc of this one.

You're right.

But if you are certain, I believe Achronos was offering a gamble. If you ask him, he will look into your ban, but if he finds you were deserving, you get double the penalty. I'm not sure if he is still doing this.

"My arrows will be drunk with blood and my sword shall devour flesh."

See I was afraid of a reply like that. I wouldn't have poured my guts out on a public forum if I believed I had any culpability. Thanks for the support dude. I'm an IT PROFESSIONAL & not some noob either. Mistakes happen & I'd be the 1st to admit my own carelessness. After being banned twice I don't even turn on the xbox if I have to go to the b/r bc a 2 week ban sucked. So yeah thx for the snarky reply.

Left here a long time ago.

The "snarky reply" was probably because you failed to notice, read, and comprehend the notice box positioned directly above the reply form.

Anyway, they're talking about forum bans in this thread. To discuss Halo online multiplayer, go here.

Hey man, the first part was just the truth and the second part was seriously me trying to help. If you think you were unjustly banned, contact Achronos.

Ah, someone leaked. Now to find the leak and.... plug it.
With justice.

I use coup 5
Never Played halo 1 = Invalid opinion
Bloom isn't whats broken, its your idea of what good is and your opinion
Thats like saying uber nerf armor lock because like 20 percent of the community hates it. Oh wait..................

Only if...
A. they are Drunk
B. just got done playing QWOP ( look it up )
C. Someone has a bad coup ( so it looks like nothing to people without coup D Dungie )

Thank you for the info xXIHAYD0IXx I appreciate it.

My mistake on the FORUM ban thread oversight. And xXIHAYD0IXx I didn't mean you were snarky bro. It was the previous replier. I honestly appreciate your help as well as the other person who pointed out my mistake on the forum ban NOT game ban thread. Now I feel noobish.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

Oh lawd, you've done it now!

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

If they did I'd assume they wouldn't be mods for very much longer.

Only today, your boss chewed you out and your in a terrible mood and looking to blow off some steam so you decide to take it out on some poor innocent new member.

This is why alcohol was created.

This thread is about Bungie.net bans.

In the Gaming world they call me The Prodigy. My guess is because I spent my time helping every person with every problem rather they where my enemies or not. With that said I also ended up blowing the minds of everyone I met online. And in the real world if we are talking about Game development and computer skill. None the less I tend to present my self in a generally professional manner and I do not tolerate an annoying degree of Disrespect or high levels of ignorance.

I recently pissed off a few forum ninja and these guys are serious I don't think they would ban for fun.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

Sometimes when we do video conferencing with the Boss he will get the spiny wheel out and it'll pick a forum. We have 15 seconds to ban as many people as we can. It's called "team building exercises" and gotta stay on top of our toes...

You guys have a very disturbing team if that is how you build it.

Thank you Bungie,

See you starside.

Would certainly not like to be caught on the wrong side of those...

Moset sadistic "team building exercises" I've ever seen. What happens when you don't meet your quotia?

  • 08.30.2011 10:41 PM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Perhaps I'm not the only one then that sees that what Yoozel mentioned wasn't so much team building as it was building a competitive spirit. I can see infighting happening among them as they all strive to be the best... and so many casualties on the forums.

Yeah they use to sometimes ban people for "fun." Don't know and can't really say (due to the fact that I'm not on here like anymore) if they still do it.

@trueunderdog

Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

I write a bunch of people's names down and pin them to the wall. Then I throw darts at them and whoever's name I hit gets banned.

Serious answer: No. Some of you just have a hard time taking responsibility for doing -blam!- you shouldn't do.

Well that definitely explains my last ban, which coincidentally you handed me.

No... wait, this seems more likely.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

This guy used to do that for IRC too, except it was a full wall with "BLINK" painted on it (and a little sticknote in the corner with "Gary")
