Subject: Bungie Please Help, Upstream Bandwidth "WARNING"

My gamer tag is Techno Wizard. My download speed is 39 MB/S, my upload speed is 4 MB/S, and my ping is at thirty ms. I have a great connection and have been playing Halo Reach for months on my Motorola Surfboard modem. I haven't had any issues until recently I discovered I had an Upstream Bandwidth in "WARNING" status. MY Internet provider came to my house and trouble shooted my system. There were no problems and my system was running great. Yet, I had this WARNING that there was an issue with my upstream bandwidth. I surfed the net and found other gamers having this same issue. Bungie/343...would somebody help me resolve this matter.

Yes, I did make that mess. What are you going to do about it?

maybe it saying "Warning! Bandwith is to good!"? Just a guess. BTW it says it for me, but I have no problems.

Hello! You may also know me as Ijnekono. How you have made your way here I do not know, but welcome. (:

I usually have it in the 'good' range, but it has recently dropped to WARNING. The peculiar thing is that I notice absolutely no difference in game play.

Don't worry about it unless it causes problems.

Yeah, if your connection went slow for a bit it'll saying warning but it doesn't mean much.

The only thing to be concerned about is the NAT rating.

you don't actually need to be concerned about NAT. If my connection turns to strict NAT for some reason, I just restart my xbox. I'm sure most people can do the same

Not everybody has cooperative connections. Mine is on strict nat, won't change off, and hampers match making.

So yeah, strict NAT gets a 'that concerns you' label from me :/

As far as NAT goes, you could try port forwarding to make it more cooperative - although Pip's right in saying that a good reboot (and sometimes reconnecting to the network) can help. Even re-starting your router has been shown to help.
